I’ve ordered food from Thai Dish since my freshman year at BU. Not only was it next to my dorm, but I could smell it from my room–and it usually smelled better than the dining hall.

This year Thai Dish changed their menu, made a whole new website and added promotions for BU students that you won’t want to miss.

A few weeks ago, they implemented “BU Happy Hours,” from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. every day. For less than $13, BU students can enjoy an appetizer or soup with a main course and drink.

Don’t know what to order, or aren’t familiar with Thai food? We got you covered.

Fried rice and Pad Thai

Always a go-to. You can’t go wrong with either of these dishes, especially if you don’t like a lot of spice. The fried rice has a smokey flavor and the Pad Thai is made in their special sauce. You can also add a protein of your choice to either dish.

Red Curry

If you want something spicy, try the tofu red curry. It's filled with vegetables and spices that are balanced out by the tofu and coconut flavoring.

Pad Kee Mao

Pad Kee Mao–aka drunken noodles–is one of my favorites. With thick, flat noodles, a little spice, some veggies and a protein of your choice, nothing could go wrong. The vegetables in this dish were cooked through, but still crunchy and fresh.

For all of these dishes, you can choose from nine different proteins to add, varying from duck to crispy chicken to shrimp.

If you order during BU Happy Hours and can’t decide on an app, try the Crab Rangoon. If you like crab, cream cheese, sour cream and crispy wonton, this appetizer is for you. Personally, I think the sweet and sour dipping sauce is essential to the Crab Rangoon eating experience.

Although it's most popular for take-out, you can now dine-in at Thai Dish. Recently re-furnished, there are tables six-feet apart, and some window seating as well.

The one thing you shouldn’t leave Thai Dish without? Thai Tea. Their iced Thai Tea is creamy and flavorful.

Less than a minute from the West Campus dorms, it's super convenient. For those that have an irrational fear of calling someone on the phone, you can place your order online and it’s open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
