Late-night assignments, cramming for an exam or craving food? Late-night pizza is the most "college meal" you can eat. Shareable with friends, tasty and left-over friendly for the fridge. Here's where to find the best late night pizza at UBC.

1. PI[E]R2 Pizza

According to the AMS student society of UBC,  PI[E]R2 is UBC's favourite pizza restaurant. Previously located in the old SUB building, it is now located on the main floor of The Nest. Unlike too many UBC food service outlets, it is open 7 days a week and doesn't close as early as many food places (residence dining halls can really leave you starving at night).

Get all your basic pizza toppings for as long as stocks last, or until the next fresh pizza is brought out. They are sold by the slice and include choices such as pepperoni, Hawaiian, mushroom, and cheese almost all the time. The menu also includes other options, including a rare but very Canadian– Poutine pizza.

Hours: 11am-10pm Monday-Sunday

Location: The Nest, 6133 University Blvd, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z1, Canada

2. Freshslice Pizza

Outside of UBC food services, but still practically on campus, you'll find Freshslice in the University Village. It is also open 7 days a week, for hours slightly longer than PI[E]R2. With a larger menu, you can find more adventurous feast pizzas such as a Garlic Lover Feast and Butter Chicken Feast. Buy them in 4 different sizes now, ranging from $10 to $17.

In addition to pizza, they also have a menu of extras that include cheesy bread, caesar salad, chocolate fudge brownies and fries.

Hours: 10:30am-Midnight Monday-Sunday

Location: University Village, 2166 Western Parkway, Vancouver, BC V6T 1W6

3. Mercante

Mercante is personally my favourite UBC Food Service outlet for many reasons. The traditional Italian pizzas they serve is made fresh upon your order and cooked in a fiery-hot stone hearth oven. They have fewer pizza choices than the first two places, but include the Margherita Classic, pizzas that include toppings of prosciutto, and Pizza Bianca that is topped with a list of cheeses.

They have more than just pizza, including their delicious tiramisu that has begun to rumour around to be one the best tiramisu's people have tried in Vancouver. The restaurant itself is a great place to chill or study. This is definitely where you will find the fancier pizzas.

Hours: 7:30am-midnight Monday-Friday, 10am-10pm Saturday-Sunday

Location: Ponderosa Commons, 6488 University Boulevard, Vancouver, BC V6Z 1Z4

4. Pizza Garden

Also located in the University Village, Pizza Garden is branded to sell wood stone fired Neapolitan Style Pizzas. I've never tried it, but I've heard good things about its pizzas when accompanying my friend that was going to eat there.

Unlike Mercante, they also have the more basic pepperoni and hawaiian, but also has a larger menu of Italian pizzas (that also include pesto and prosciutto as a topping for a few).

Hours: 10am-midnight Monday-Thursday, 11am-Midnight Friday-Sunday

Location: 5780 University Blvd, Vancouver, BC V6T 1K6

Of course, there are more pizza options around UBC. Pizza is pretty much everywhere, and I picked these as favourites that open until late at night. The ultimate convenient pizza, where you won't need to leave wherever you are in UBC, would still be ordering Dominoes that opens until 3am everyday.
