Satisfying a sugar craving can be as simple as visiting the cookie aisle at the grocery store or your local bakery for the same boring treats you’re used to. Most of us don’t realize the wide variety of cool bake shops in Toronto, that add a unique twist to any tasty sweet. To make it easier for all of you, I’ve stacked up a list of some of the best bake shops in the city.

1. Bake Shoppe

Best known for their famous Drake cookies, this sweets shop serves up some of the most unreal and creative cakes in the city. Their confetti cookies are to die for and they even add their own twist to the classic Pop-Tart. Bake Shoppe turns your favourite sweets into actual art.

2. Bunner’s Bake Shop

This shop is 100% vegan and gluten-free, and their menu has no limit. From cakes, cupcakes, muffins, cinnamon buns, and bread, there is no reason not to visit Bunner’s. Their goal is to satisfy everyone and I think they’ve got that on lock. 

3. The Rolling Pin

If you love donuts, then you might want to continue reading. The Rolling Pin is so highly praised when it comes to donuts, that they even have donut cakes. And why stop there? Try one of their unique French macarons that will leave you wanting more!

4. SanRemo Bakery 

If you love Italian pastries and desserts, then SanRemo is the place to be! Not only do they have tasty treats filled with Nutella, and unique Italian cookies, but their coffee art compares to no other. From Ryan Gosling or Drake’s face to cute catch phrases, you’ll never want to Instagram another picture of your Starbucks order.

This spot makes fresh traditional handmade doughnuts with a twist. With flavours such as fried chicken, bourbon & bacon, and orange creamsicle, they’re giving doughnuts a new name. They also have vegan options so DONUT miss the chance to get your hands on what they’re serving up.
