On a small college campus like ours with a pretty limited selection of food, ordering delivery can be a godsend for busy or car-less students. But it can be scary and stressful to try new places and no one seems to know what’s out there, so I did a little digging. Here’s a roundup of students’ favorites and some new places to try for your next night in the lib or on the couch – no judgement.

1. Villaggio Gastro Italian

If you don’t want to get off your couch but you’re looking for some classy Italian food to go with your Netflix night, order delivery from Villaggio. My absolute favorite is the Pappardelle Bolognese perfectly paired with a glass of red wine and a Friends marathon.

2. Pizza Bella

Why settle for greasy Domino’s when you can get these guys to make and deliver a hand-tossed pizza with fresh ingredients and flour imported all the way from Naples? Try their new swoop pizza inspired by us Emory students, or one of their other specialty pizzas like the primo with prosciutto or the old smokey covered with meatballs. And if you’re still not convinced, create your own pizza and they’ll make it for you.

3. Landmark Diner

If you’re too excited for Sunday brunch and can’t even wait until the morning, bring on the eggs benedict at 3 am on Saturday night. Landmark Diner delivers all your typical diner food from omelets and pancakes to burgers, milkshakes, and matzah ball soup. It’s open until 4 am on Saturday, and 1 am every other night of the week.

4. Mediterranean Grill

When Monday rolls around and you’re looking for something healthy to make up for all that late night pizza, order a vegetarian platter or a chicken kabob plate from Mediterranean grill. Rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, olive oil, and lean proteins, the Mediterranean cuisine is considered one of the world’s healthiest diets. Mediterranean Grill’s hummus will make you think you’re indulging when really you’re getting plenty of protein and healthy fats.

5. BurgerFi

BurgerFi has a location at Emory Point, so you won’t have to wait too long when your craving hits. Their classic burgers are pretty good, but try switching it up by ordering one of their fancy French fries like parmesan, herb, and garlic aioli.

6. Thaicoon & Sushi Bar

I’m constantly craving sushi and had to try my share of disappointing fake crab sushi rolls before I found this place. All their rolls are great, but if you don’t see something you like you can always make a request. I always ask for a simple brown rice roll with salmon and avocado. Make sure to tip because delivery is free.

7. Green Ginger

When you need some Thai food, your best bet is Green Ginger. The classic pad thai is always great, but they’ve got tons of variations of other noodle and rice dishes. Their miso is pretty salty but a lot of people are into that, so order if you’re into that sodium.

8. Chico & Chang

Open till 2:45 am, Chico & Chang delivers both Mexican and Chinese food for when you want some pot stickers with your burrito. There aren’t a whole lot of late night options in the area, so this may become your go-to. If their super long menu gives you anxiety, you can just order one of their family dinners and they make the decisions for you.

9. YEAH! Burger

Not your typical burger place, YEAH! Burger only use local ingredients that respect the environment and animal welfare, so you can feel a little better about inhaling that grass-fed bacon cheeseburger and truffle fries on your couch. Save this place for a night you’re really hungry so you can order that handspun caramel sea salt milkshake, too.

10. Romeo’s

Romeo’s is the most popular pizza delivery on campus – you’ve probably seen them driving from dorm to dorm in the Romeo’s smart car. Along with pizza with tons of toppings, they’ve got pasta, burgers, subs, salads, and pretty good gluten free pizza. Oh, and their delivery is free.

11. Dave’s Cosmic Subs

Most students pass by this place in Emory Village all the time but never think to check it out. You don’t even have to walk across campus to try Dave’s infamous meatball sub because they’ll bring it to you. So there’s no excuse.

12. Purnima Bangladeshi Cuisine

This place is pretty fast and makes the best naan I’ve ever had. They’re open for delivery until 11:30 pm, but be prepared for your room to smell like Indian spices for a few days after your night in.
