With five locations, the Twin Cities My Burger chain is quickly taking its place in the metro food scene. As burgers are a staple for college students, this required a much needed taste test. With a new location open just down the street from me in Mac Groveland, I decided to give it a try.

Walking up to the counter at My Burger, I am greeted with a warm smile from the cashier. Looking up at the menu board, I place my order, take my number and grab a seat at a high top wooden table. Even though the burgers are made to order, my food seems to arrive extremely quickly.

For the price, this single California burger with pepper jack cheese satisfies my burger craving. The bun is not overwhelming, and serves only to complement the contents nestled between it. A generous amount of mayonnaise allows the shredded lettuce to mostly stay on the burger. The burger itself was flavorful, moist, and not overdone.

The Verdict

The interior feels modern with an airy space and light wood tables, but brings a nostalgic feeling with the bright orange plastic chairs. This place is definitely a recommendation to anyone looking find an affordable burger with a wide array of menu options.
