Origins

The name Adamah stems from the biblical hebrew word meaning ground or earth. Executive Chef of Adamah and Director of Dining Services at UW Hillel, Jason Kierce has worked tirelessly on a menu that uses locally sourced ingredients, giving some clout to their name. Adamah participates in REAP Food Group's Buy Fresh, Buy Local program with over 15 local partners on listed on their website. Moreover, the fresh, local ingredients made for a comforting kosher eats that left us wondering "what else can we try."

The Menu

Adamah offers a wide variety of foods from more classic jewish cuisine such as their Classic Shakshuka to more modern twists such as The Big MACabee. If you are looking for a good snack to go, we recommend the Hummus Plate. Packed with lots of good veggies and that oh so warm and delicious pita, it's great to snack on while studying. If you are in for a more of a more substantial meal, we suggest the Harvest Chicken Salad. The candied walnuts, Granny Smith apple slices and honey balsamic dressing give this hearty salad some sweetness. Either way you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Adamah pleasantly surprised us with every new dish we tried.
