It doesn’t matter how many formals or summer trips are coming up, you should always make time and space for dessert. Think about how the carbs will help you on that Thirsty Thursday or how the sugar rush will keep you going while you study for your next exam. If that doesn’t make you scream for ice cream, Grain on Main’s new and improved dessert menu definitely will. They kept what could be considered their classics and added some new intriguing options. I put my health and waste line in danger in order to get an accurate assessment of every single one:

Shots – Dessert Sized

If these shot glasses are what Grain uses for alcohol, we’re all in trouble. As far as for serving dessert, the small portion is a perfect option to satisfy any craving with their Oreo, German Chocolate, and Strawberry Shortcake combination options. You can enjoy these shots without an concern for a sugar-hangover.

Pull-A-Party

This skillet is the underdog that came through at the end of the night. Everyone always goes straight for the chocolate, but this warm, cinnamon bread was just what everyone needs. The boardwalk-style monkey bread and refreshing ice cream will make you feel that summer type of way all year-round.

Guinness Brownie

There might have been somewhat of a placebo effect happening here, but these brownies stood apart for their slight beer flavor. Not in a way that will remind you of the embarrassing moment in a frat house, but it separates this brownie from the rest.

The Challenge Cake

This cake is not called a challenge for nothing. Luckily for all of us, it’s a challenge worth taking. Arguments could be made as to whether the size is closer to a head or a newborn baby, but either way the combined cake, mouse, and syrup is the ultimate chocolate experience. Get ready to look like the kid from Matilda.

Dessert Nachos

Main street already has famous classic, cheesy nachos, but Grain is creating its own claim to fame with its dessert nachos. The warm, fried cinnamon chips were the perfect edible spoon for whatever sweet candy bits the chef managed to pile on them. The possibilities are endless with what you could be eating, which is half the fun.

Like most things at Grain, you can’t go wrong with any of these options; even ordering them all in one sitting is doable if you’re willing to eat cake everyday for the next week.
