Bombay Sandwich Co.

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at NYU chapter.

After successful stints at Smorgasburg, Bombay Sandwich Company finally took the plunge and opened a brick-and-mortar location in Chelsea. Taking advantage of a narrow but well-lit space, the new location offers a lengthy menu of classic and inventive Indian dishes. In addition to the namesake sandwiches, there are also wraps, salads, bowls and platters. With a strictly vegetarian menu – though several dishes do contain cheese or Greek yogurt – this is one of the few places where a vegan and a carnivore can enjoy a pleasant and satisfying meal.

Opened by NYU Stern alum Shiv Puri, Bombay Sandwich Company brings an immediate boost to an area that is generally lacking in quality dining options. Residents and professionals in the area are beginning to take notice of this newcomer and it is only a matter of time until it becomes the new go-to lunch spot in the area. Check out the menu.
