10 Best Coffee Shops for Studying in Atlanta
It's a scientific fact that people do their best studying at peak levels of caffeine. Do yourself a favor and venture outside your library's reading room. I promise you― grinding at a coffee shop makes the work just a little more bearable. Incredibly particular about my study environment, my must-haves are natural lighting, plenty of table space, outdoor seating, and strong coffee. East Pole Coffee Co.
With high ceilings and plenty of seating, East Pole in Buckhead is the perfect place to crank out your final paper. They take their coffee very seriously, so be sure to accompany your studying with a comforting vanilla latte. Not to mention, the aesthetics of this gem are spot-on.

The James Room
We have a new cafe in town! Located on the Atlanta Beltline, The James Room exudes total European vibes. As described by the owners themselves: "French Cafe meets Italian Aperitivo Bar." The creators behind this locale intended for this hot spot to be "your home away from home, your respite from a long day, and your gathering space." What more could one ask for?

Land of a Thousand Hills
Land of a Thousand Hills is my new favorite spot. With two locations in Atlanta, they have really made their mark on Atlanta's coffee scene. Serving high-quality espresso brews, Thousand Hills makes my favorite "caramanilla" latte, infusing subtle notes of caramel and vanilla. Also, because this spot is quite low key, you're guaranteed to score a solid seat with plenty of table space. Another perk: Thousand Hills is one of the few coffee shops open until 9 on weekdays!

Sessions Stand
If you're willing to drive out to Marietta, Session Stand will be your new favorite walk-up coffee stand. Although their seating is limited to the outdoor patio, their quaint charm makes up for it. Some rave-worthy menu items include their fruit danishes, whole wheat croissants, and Rev Coffee roasted espresso drinks. Session Stand is truly a hidden gem, as they operate without a website and rely solely on the neighborhood buzz. It's a secret you'll want to be in on.

Octane Coffee - Grant Park
An Atlanta staple. With four locations in Atlanta alone, Octane has become a household name. My personal favorite location is the one in Grant Park, as its loft-like appeal boasts plenty of natural light, open seating, and sumptuous space. The ideal locale to inspire a spark of creativity.

Muchacho
Tacos and coffee. Need I say more? Muchacho serves all the eclectic vibes for that midterm study session. Besides roasting all the coffee imaginable, they also have a delicious menu of tacos, grain bowls, and poke. Everything I could've ever asked for and more.

Spiller Park
With locations in Ponce City Market and Toco Hills, Spiller Park has become another Atlanta staple. Everything they offer is spot-on, but my favorites are their "iced coffee of the moment" accompanied by their drool-worthy avocado toast on sourdough. The perfect fuel to get you through finals season.

Dancing Goats Coffee Co.
This spot needs no introduction. Dancing Goats, home to the beloved Batdorf & Bronson roast, knows how to make a strong latte. With plenty of seating in a glass-encased patio, Dancing Goats makes you feel like you're studying outside―minus the distractions, bugs, and noise. Think outdoor oasis smack in the middle of Old Fourth Ward.

Chrome Yellow Trading Co.
Chrome Yellow is notably one of the trendiest coffee shops in the ATL. Studying here won't feel like your typical coffee shop haven. Part of this locale is a dry goods/apparel store, so if you need a quick study break, sift through their collection of books and t-shirts. They operate Monday to Saturday until 7 PM, so feel free to savor the strong espresso and Wi-Fi without feeling rushed.

Docent Coffee
If the MOMA inspired a coffee shop, Docent Coffee would be it. The people behind Docent created it with one purpose in mind: to make coffee and art accessible again. Something especially unique about Docent is that they partner with local artists and feature their work in the store, from the wall art to the coffee bags. Another gem tucked away in Old Fourth Ward.
