Baked in Color is a cookie business based in Scarsdale, New York that ships nationwide. Julie Waxman, the founder of Baked in Color, got the idea to create rainbow cookies from another popular colorful food: rainbow bagels! She explains that she noticed a gap in the market for colorful chocolate chip cookies - the best kind of cookie! So with the unique idea of making rainbow chocolate chips cookies and past experience running a small cookie business when she attended Cornell University, Julie started Baked in Color. From an idea to a brick and mortar in New York City, Baked in Color is the inspirational cookie company we didn't know we needed.
Baked in Color may have started with chocolate chip cookies, but that isn't all they sell; you can order their delicious brookies too! A layer of brownie, a layer of oreos, and topped with the signature colorful chocolate chip cookies, the brookie is a decadent alternative when you want something different. The Year to Date
From multicolored brownie cakes to mini cookies, it's no surprise that Baked in Color drew in lots of attention and a large social media following. They started off the year riding the high of their success with over 22,000 instagram followers. Not only was the instagram thriving, but so was the business itself. The minds behind Baked in Color anticipated the severity of the pandemic and ordered a surplus of shipping and baking goods in order to combat what was expected to be a difficult period in time. This line of thinking ended up paying off - Baked in Color had their best two months of business ever! Unfortunately, this record high was followed by the loss of almost all of their instagram followers after they were hacked. They're trying to build their followers back up to a number that reflects their delicious cookies' success.
