One of my favorite things to do in the Miami "winter" is have brunch outside on a beautiful day. B Bistro + Bakery in Brickell is the most perfect place to do this. They are located at 600 Brickell Ave, only a block away from Brickell City Centre. On the weekends, they offer an all day brunch making it totally acceptable to eat spicy tuna toast for breakfast. Star chef Henry Hané has created a delicious menu that leaves you wanting more and more, just as I was when I visited this past weekend.

Guava & Cheese Pastry

I started my meal off with a Guava & Cheese pastry. You know what they say, right? "Life is short, eat dessert first!" Well let me tell you, this was just the perfect way to start. I'm going to be honest here, I don't even like Guava but I still loved this so much. All the flavors played really well together to form what I would like to call a match made in the oven. I used to ostracize guava from my life, but this completely changed my mind.

Unicorn Cruffin

Following the Guava & Cheese pastry, I dove into the most aesthetically pleasing food creation I have ever seen. It's all in the little details on this one; the gold painted horn, the purple icing, and those ears? Mystical af. Unicorns + Cruffins = absolutely genius. Inside of this magical creation was a rainbow vanilla pastry cream with crunchy pearls and yes, it was as good as it sounds. The cruffin was also coated in sugar, leaving you licking every last ounce off of your fingers. If perfection exists, it lies in the bakery of B Bistro + Bakery

Mexican Avocado Toast

Dominique Teta

Once dessert time was over, it was time to work my way in reverse and order some brunch. First up was the Mexican Avocado Toast. Smashed avocado, jalepeño crema, sprinkled cotija cheese, charred corn, a bit of lime and beautiful red pickled fresno chiles all coming together on top of an airy slice of toast. I'm drooling, aren't you? This totally reinforced my deep love for avocado toast in a whole new way.

Spicy Tuna Toast

Dominique Teta

Never have I ever .... thought that I would eat spicy tuna for breakfast. Let me just say, chef Henry Hané, you have changed my life for the better. This was easily my favorite part of the meal and I want this served at my wedding one day. This toast was topped with a smear of spicy mayonnaise, a mound of extremely fresh diced tuna, pickled cucumber, scallions, and drizzled with sesame grilled nori puree. This dish is easily the best thing since sliced bread, ironic isn't it? The toast soaks up every flavor, letting not a single drop of taste go to waste. Completing my trip to B Bistro + Bakery with this was the absolute move, leaving me just as satisfied as every other person to leave this hotspot in Brickell.

You could say I am now a huge fan of chef Henry Hané and his insanely talented culinary mind. I will be back as often as I can just to experience this over and over again. I look forward to trying many of the other dishes on their brunch menu, including the Croissant French Toast, the Ahi Tuna Bun, the Truffle Bun, and many many others.
