One of the best things about living in Burly is the proximity to so many unbelievable restaurants.  Burlington has something for everyone, including those who choose to abstain from meat.  There are many great vegetarian and vegan options, all with great menus full of delicious treats.  These local favorites are good enough to make anyone consider switching to a meat free lifestyle.

1. Revolution Kitchen

Revolution Kitchen is a great place to eat, even if you’re not a vegetarian.  Everything on their menu is delicious, they even made me like Brussel sprouts (and let me tell you I’m not normally a fan).  Their tacos are particularly good.

Bonus: Not only is there food amazing, but their service and wine selection is great too.  What more do you need?

2. Stone Soup

Stone Soup is often compared to a vegetarian’s paradise.  Their menu is loaded with delicious sandwiches, veggie hummus, grilled tofu, and all sorts of other delicious treats.  Even if you’re not a vegetarian you should check it out.  I highly recommend the spiced Indian lentil soup, it’s delicious.

3. Eco Bean and Juice

While it’s definitely more on the pricey side, Eco Bean and Juice is great all around.  They have a prime location, great service, and an exquisite menu.  It’s hard to ask for anything more.

4. Magnolia Bistro

If you don’t mind a little wait Magnolia’s can be an amazing vegetarian destination.  Magnolia’s offers breakfast and brunch, with many gluten free and vegan options.  The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, and the food is scrumptious.  Their thick oatmeal pancakes are to die for.

5. The Vermont Juice Company

Great juices, great service, the Vermont Juice Company is pretty much the best.  Everything they offer is tasty and delicious, not to mention completely fresh and organic.  If you don’t know what to order try the carroty clarity, it’s seriously good.

6. Pingala Café and Eatery

While technically Pingala’s is actually totally vegan, it’s still crazy good and everyone should check it out.  The location is amazing and the food is shockingly good. Try their cupcakes, you won’t believe their actually vegan.

7. Juicebox

Juice box is an awesome stop on the Burly Vegetarian express.  While it’s definitely a juice bar, their smoothies are truly amazing.  The owner is kind and helpful, as is the rest of the staff as well.  Overall Juicebox is a great place if you want to drink your meal.
