MOD Pizza is the new kid on the block, and Maddie (U of A Spoon photographer) and I were intrigued to try it out. It is safe to say that the trip was worth it and that MOD Pizza did not disappoint. Here are five reasons why you should also visit MOD Pizza:

1. Pizza (Duh)

With nine different classic pizzas on the menu and a build-your-own option, you will never be out of pizza combinations. I ordered the Tristan while Maddie went for the classic pepperoni and cheese. The crust was thin and did not overpower the pizza with a doughy mass. All of the ingredients are fresh, which adds to the overall flavor of the pizza. You will feel a bit stuffed after 5 minutes of being done with your pizza, but the feeling passes and leaves enough room for dessert. Needless to say, both pizzas looked amazing and tasted like a piece of heaven on earth.

2. Pizza Size

You have the option of ordering the MOD size or a mini size. We ordered the MOD size, which is the size of a large, round plate. It was perfect because it was not too big and not too small, just perfect. The minis are about the size of a corn tortilla, so it is a great option if you are not too hungry but don’t want to be the only one at the table that is not eating.

3. Drinks

Step away from the sodas and go for MOD’s iced teas or lemonades. It is the best way to enjoy your MOD pizza and the overall MOD experience. The Marion Blackberry Lemonade paired extremely well with the Tristan. If you don’t want to go for the sweet, then the Caramelized Pear Iced Tea is for you, Maddie recommends it.

4. Service

The moment you walk into MOD Pizza, all of the staff looks up, smiles, and welcomes you in. Everyone is so nice and always wants to know how you are liking your MOD experience. A restaurant that cares about its customers and not just about its money is a restaurant that stays on my list.

5. Price

MOD pizza is affordable and will not break your bank. All pizzas are the same price, regardless of whether you add or subtract any ingredients. For a MOD-sized pizza and a fountain drink, you will spend around $12, but trust me, those $12 will not be spent in vain.

Now get up and go get a slice of this delicious pizza!
