WTF Is Happening On TikTok With This Weird Grimace Shake Trend?

In the past few weeks, social media has revealed the many sides of McDonald’s Grimace. Given that it’s his birthday month and McDonald’s released a Grimace meal and shake in celebration, this isn’t too surprising. However, I doubt anyone could have expected that Grimace would be hailed as a queer icon one week and feared as a blood-thirsty psychopath the next.

Confused? Me too. Grimace’s days as a rampaging lunatic — who decimates anyone sipping on his birthday milkshake — began with a video by creator @thefrazmaz who opened with a short review of the Grimace shake only to immediately cut to a shot of him on the floor, dead, with the Grimace’s shake spewing from his mouth.

From there, just about every teenager and immature adult across the country copied the trend, with their Grimace-shake deaths becoming more and more depraved. For your viewing pleasure, I’ve compiled my favorite and strangest videos I’ve found of the Grimace Shake trend.

Dateline has thoughts.

Grimace is a Gemini, so this all makes sense.

As expected, Jack Pop created an Oscar-worthy horror film for the meme.

I hope this comes out before Halloween.

Several Grimace shakes were harmed in the making of this video.

A montage of Grimace’s greatest kills.

Who are we supposed to believe? What is the government not telling us?

This is the only way you can drink the Grimace shake without dying.

Grimace finds his next victim.

Grimace-day preppers.

Stranger Things and Grimace crossover episode.

Grimace joins the occult.
