Mmmm, as if the warm weather wasn’t reason enough to get out in the world and start drinkin’, Wolfe Street Brewing is hosting their first “Real Ale Cask Festival.”

Wolfe Street has already made it’s mark on Harrisonburg in the short time that it’s been open. From bingo nights with Ethan Best calling out the numbers, to packed Thursdays where you see everyone and anyone, not only does Wolfe Street have tasty beer, it’s freakin’ f-u-n.

That’s why we were jazz(hands)ed that they announced this festival. Now, I like craft beer but I was confused as to what a “cask” is. Well, Wolfe Street schooled me.

“Cask ale or cask-conditioned beer is unfiltered and unpasteurised beer which is conditioned (including secondary fermentation) and served from a cask without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure.”

Nice.
