Ever want to eat fajitas and French onion soup? Or order your meal extra, extra, extra spicy? Well, some people do, and it’s all included in the annual Uber Eats Cravings Report. Uber Eats released its first Cravings Report in 2019 and has been summarizing the strangest trends, orders, and requests placed on the app ever since.
There were plenty of surprising trends among Uber Eats users in 2024, too. For instance, customers are going bananas for, well, bananas! According to the report, bananas maintain the most purchased grocery item every day of the week. Not surprisingly, fruit isn’t the only fan-favorite on Uber Eats. An order of medium french fries is reportedly customers’ favorite late-night snack. College campuses even make the list when students’ late-night study cravings kick in; most orders placed between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. come from college campuses.
While food trends across the platform may be out of pocket, individual order requests are even crazier. Here is a list of the wildest Uber Eats orders and requests from the Uber Eats Cravings Report this year.
The more spice, the better for these customers.
“Please please use extra spicy mayo – spicy mayo on base and spicy mayo on top, wet please.” — from someone who likes it wet and hot.
“HOTTEST LEVEL!!! PLEASE I KNOW IT SAYS ONLY 5 STARS BUT I WANT THE HOTTEST LEVEL!!! And last time they didn’t give me the fish sauces so is it ok this time that you guys can give it to me please and thank you” — from someone who was clearly disappointed in their last order.
Oh, and extra everything for these orders.
“Can I have 20 times the amount of green onions please? Charge me extra. I love green onions. Thank you, :)” — from someone who’s avoiding kissing their date.
“As much Nutella as you can, please! I didn’t see an option for extra Nutella but you all can skip the peanut butter and just put more Nutella! Thank you! You all rock!!” — from someone who has a little bit of a sweet tooth.
“I know this is a silly request but please just as many French fries as you are allowed to give me” — from someone who isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of capitalism.
“Extra extra extra extra extra almond butter please!! 3 layers – like a lot. Extra granola on the top and bottom and extra almonds thank you!” — from someone who likes their nuts.
“I picked every extra cheese on purpose, please add maximum cheese. Also please add extra mayo. Thank you so much!” — from a lactose intolerant person’s worst nightmare.
Some orders got really specific.
“Done wings. Not well done, not undercooked, but done wings to where they are a little brown on 30% of the surface area please. Y’all make great wings. Thank you.” — from someone who likes what they like.
“Please make sure chicken is cooked all the way thru and make sure vent holes are made in the pan so chicken stays crispy. Thank you in advance.” — from someone who was definitely a chef in a past life.
“Can you please toast the bread dark! Sorry for the odd request! I’m pregnant and that burnt-ish taste is what I’m craving lol! And if possible can you put butter on the bread? Didn’t see it as an option thank you so much!” — from someone who really needs this burnt toast.
“Please don’t put a lot of seasoning. Light, just enough to cover them please. That’s how my grandmother likes them and sometimes you put a lot of seasoning, thanks.” — from someone trying to get into granny’s will.
