Whataburger Is Selling 75-Cent Burgers Today

Out of all of the burger joints out there, there’s one special chain that holds true to every Texan’s heart: Whataburger. The Texas-based restaurant is well-known for their customizable menu, spicy ketchup and the fan-favorite Chicken Fajita Taco. Whataburger has managed to expand in popularity over the years, with over 1,000 locations in 17 states – the vast majority of them being in Texas.

Not only does the burger joint sell just burgers, it also offers a breakfast menu to accommodate it’s 24 hour opening. There’s a little something for everyone who is wanting to get a tasty bite at Whatburger, and the chain loves their customers a lot. So much so, that the chain is giving away something very special in celebration of it’s 75th anniversary.

What is the 75th anniversary special at Whataburger?

For the chain’s 75th birthday, it’ll be offering 75-cent burgers on August 8. Whataburger Reward members are the ones who are eligible for this sweet deal, and the deal can be redeemed via online or through the exclusive Whataburger mobile app. The offer is valid between 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, and the deal is only limited to one hamburger per person. If you wish to pile your hamburger with savory customizations and add-ons, it’ll come with an additional charge.

In a press release, Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud stated,”As we celebrate this milestone, we’re not just marking time – we’re honoring the memories, the traditions, and the quality experiences that keep folks coming back.”

What other things is Whataburger offering for its anniversary?

Along with the 75-cent burgers, the chain also released the second collection of limited-edition commemorative cups. The first collection was released on July 31, and the second collection was released on August 5. The 32-ounce cups feature a 75th table tent inspired design, and the chain is planning to release two new cups on August 19. One will be a silver-striped anniversary cup, and the other will be a classic A-frame tribute cup. The cups can be purchased at select restaurants or online at Whatastore.com

If you think that wasn’t enough, the original Whataburger in Corpus Christi will be hosting a special event for fans. On August 8, fans are welcomed to cheer on the Corpus Christi Hooks for an “Orange Out” night, where customers are encouraged to come decked out in orange attire and bring their support for the night’s baseball game against the Tulsa Drillers.

The first 1,500 fans will receive a limited-edition Whataguy mask, and the first 5,000 fans will also be gifted with a Whataguy cape. And what event is good without food? Each fan will be given a coupon for a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
