This TikToker Made Nashville Hot, Spicy Buldak, & Hot Honey Mozzarella Sticks — Here’s How To Recreate Them

TikTok creator Grace Kellyann is a 25-year-old stay-at-home wife and small business owner with a passion for cooking. Her content focuses on sharing new recipes, experimenting with food trends, and vlogging her daily life in Texas.

She and her husband run a protein cookie dough business called Dunamis Dough. Their edible dough emphasizes all-natural ingredients and comes in a variety of flavors, including double chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, strawberry white chocolate, snickerdoodle, and more. But online, she’s been going viral for a very different reason.

On TikTok, she’s known for her “six ways” video series, where she prepares one food in six different ways, like six styles of steak or six variations of eggs. Her most recent recipe series centers on creative takes on mozzarella sticks. From spicy to savory, her mozzarella sticks are easy and delicious for a quick snack.

Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks

These mozzarella sticks are a twist on the classic Nashville hot chicken recipe. To make them, you’ll need fresh mozzarella, breadcrumbs, two eggs, flour, and a blend of spices that deliver that signature Nashville-style heat. Kellyann recommends starting with a one-pound block of mozzarella and cutting it into even slices.

For the breadcrumb mixture, she uses salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. To coat the mozzarella sticks, dip each piece into flour, then egg wash, and finally the seasoned breadcrumbs. She suggests doing this process twice to create a thick, crispy coating.

After coating, place the mozzarella sticks in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour. Then, fry them in 350 degree oil for about 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown. For the finishing touch, she makes an after-rub using the same seasoning blend, adding brown sugar and a bit of the leftover frying oil, then coats both sides of the mozzarella sticks.

Spicy Budak Mozzarella Sticks

For this version, she adds the popular Spicy Buldak ramen flavor to her mozzarella sticks. In this recipe, instead of seasoning the breadcrumbs, Kellyann seasons her flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and parsley. She also uses three eggs instead of two for the egg wash.

Using the same process she dips the sticks in the seasoned flour, then egg wash, and finally the breadcrumbs — repeating the process twice for extra crispiness before freezing them and frying them. For the after-rub sauce, she combines the same flour seasonings with a bit of leftover oil and Spicy Buldak sauce, then coats both sides of the finished sticks.

Hot Honey Mozzarella Sticks

For these sticks, Kellyann blends sweet and spicy for a tangy hot honey flavor. For this recipe’s breadcrumb seasoning, she uses salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, parsley, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar.

Repeat the same process of flour, a three-egg wash and breadcrumbs and then freeze and fry the sticks. For her after-rub sauce she uses the same breadcrumb seasonings, leftover oil and finally some hot honey sauce that she mixes together and coats both sides of the sticks. She also adds an extra drizzle of the Mike’s Hot Honey sauce for an extra kick.

For dipping the mozzarella sticks, she also recommends a homemade ranch made with mayo, sour cream, dill, dried parsley, garlic powder, and a touch of milk to make the consistency thinner.
