People On TikTok Are Going To Medieval Times & You Should Too

I am sure you have heard of dinner and a show, but what about dinner and a tournament? That is exactly what you get at Medieval Times, a show that allows you to witness a Middle Ages battle while dining on fare like roasted chicken and garlic bread.

Medieval Times, which has traditionally been understood as a tourist attraction, is now trending as a fun outing for friends after comedian Brittany Broski listed it as one of her 100 favorite things right now. Broski went a step beyond just including Medieval Times as one of her favorite things, though. She specified that flirting with the show’s knights was a favorite pastime of hers, and now everyone is running to get a little rowdy in a medieval castle.

What is Medieval Times?

It is not just referring to the Middle Ages, that is for sure. Medieval Times is a thrilling dinner show set in medieval Spain. Over the course of two hours, performers engage in jousting, swordfighting, hand-to-hand combat, horsemanship, and falconry — all while entertaining the crowd!

Medieval Times shows take place across the United States, with locations including Atlanta, Chicago and Orlando, Florida. Each performance is housed in an elaborate castle that immerses you in Middle Ages Europe.

For dinner, guests enjoy fictional Queen Maria Isabella’s favorite four-course meal, which includes dishes like tomato bisque soup and sweet buttered corn. Queen Maria Isabella has commanded her chefs to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences, so diners with vegetarian, vegan, kosher or other diets can still enjoy a great feast with offerings like hummus, three-bean stew, and fresh fruit.

During the tournament, diners are encouraged to cheer and root for their favorite knight, which sparked Broski’s encouragement to take your engagement with the knights to the next level by flirting with them.

What did Brittany Broski say about Medieval Times?

During a special episode of Broski’s podcast, The Broski Report, in which she shared a list of her 100 favorite things right now, Broski listed flirting with the knights at Medieval Times as a top item on the list.

“I would highly recommend you get some girls together, go to Medieval Times, and really lay it on thick,” Broski said. “Sit front row, okay? And if you’re not front row, be loud.”

Now, people on TikTok are rushing to heed Broski’s advice by attending Medieval Times and getting flirty with the dashing medieval knights amid jousting and swordfighting.

How can you make the most of your night at Medieval Times?

Once you have made your reservation for an evening at Medieval Times, you are already set for a great night, but people on TikTok have shown how they are maximizing their fun in medieval Spain.

Medieval Times is a great experience for those dining solo, but it is even better when you are with a group of friends and can cheer on your favorite knight together.

Although there is no dress code at Medieval Times and casual wear is perfectly acceptable, you can immerse yourself in the Middle Ages by dressing up in fun costumes. TikTok user @livchar7 attended Medieval Times with a group of friends and they all dressed up, with costumes ranging from Fiona and Farquaad from Shrek to medieval princess gowns.

In Broski’s own words, be sure to sit in the front row to be as close as possible to all of the action. If you do not make it to the front row, you can still be loud with your hoots and hollers to make sure the knights feel your support. @yoongisgayvans shared a video of them and their friends cheering loudly during the performance, perfectly reflecting Broski’s instructions.

However you decide to spend your evening at Medieval Times, the night is sure to be a triumph with a spectacular tournament and grand feast.
