The moment food lovers have been waiting for is here — TikTok food creator Meredith Hayden of Wishbone Kitchen (@wishbonekitchen) just released her new cookbook on May 6, titled The Wishbone Kitchen Cookbook: Seasonal Recipes for Elevated Luxury and Elevated Entertaining.
The Wishbone Kitchen Cookbook offers a wide range of recipes, from simple 20-minute dinners to hosting centerpieces. The 100 recipes are inspired by Hayden’s time working as a chef in New York City and the Hamptons, as well as the summers she spent as a kid in Nantucket. Hayden’s website describes the recipes as “all things surf” and “all things turf.”
In promotion of her cookbook, Hayden just embarked on a book tour, which started May 5. Visiting 11 cities across the United States, Hayden has generated a lot of hype about her recipe collection. Here’s all you need to know about Wishbone Kitchen’s book tour.
What is Hayden doing on the book tour?
On different stops along her book tour, Hayden is hosting a mixture of Q&A talks and book signings.
While a couple of the book tour stops will be hosted at local bookstores (and one at a church), most of the stops are at various Williams Sonoma locations. The bookstore stops are Q&As in conversation with Natalie Shine, host of “The Big Silly Trivia Game.” Book tour stops at William Sonoma stores are all book signings.
People all over TikTok are posting their experiences attending Hayden’s book tour, and they’re loving it. “Take me to church (Wishbone Kitchen’s book tour),” wrote one user, who attended Hayden’s Brooklyn stop that was hosted by Books Are Magic at First Unitarian Church.
Another person on TikTok, who attended the same talk, said the talk was “funny and fabulous.”
As for the cookbook itself, one user said that it was “nearly perfect” — her only qualm being that the book’s acknowledgements, which had to be submitted before Hayden’s ex-boyfriend broke up with her, included his name. The same user said that she is not religious, but decided to buy a “Bible,” referring to The Wishbone Kitchen Cookbook.
What cities is Wishbone Kitchen visiting?
For the book tour, Hayden is visiting Brooklyn, NY; Short Hills, NJ; Washington, D.C.; Costa Mesa, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; and Charlotte, NC.
How do I get tickets to Wishbone Kitchen’s book tour?
