Chef, The Trailer For Season 4 Of ‘The Bear’ Is Up

Updated Published

After winning 21 Primetime Emmy awards and capturing the hearts of viewers everywhere, The Bear is coming back to Hulu for a fourth season, and soon. FX recently confirmed that new episodes are dropping this summer, and we finally have The Bear season 4 trailer. Even though we’re still salivating for more info about Carmy’s restaurant and the pivotal newspaper review for the titular restaurant, we do know enough about The Bear season 4 that we’re ready for another course of this Chicago-based FX dramedy. Here’s what we know about The Bear season 4 trailer so far, including teaser clips, potential plotlines, and the new season’s release date.

Is there a ‘The Bear’ season 4 trailer?

The Bear season 4 release date has been confirmed a few times, and FX recently served up an official trailer for the new season. Luckily, viewers don’t have to wait to get a taste of what’s in store for Carmy (played by Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), and the restaurant in the newest season thanks to the new trailer from FX, which dropped on May 20.

The trailer, which is a little over two minutes long, gives viewers a hint what we can expect from the new episodes dropping this summer, and it’s safe to say the pressure is still on. The trailer features Carmy, Sydney, and cousin Richie continuing to refine The Bear and advance further into the fine dining scene while still dealing with the restaurant’s internal fractures, family stressors, and, of course, the results of the Chicago Tribune review. And, as Cicero points out, money is quickly running out and the restaurant may be forced to close. TL;DR: the heat is still on these chefs.

As in earlier seasons, it seems as though Carmy’s self-destructive ambition is rampant in season 4, and The Bear will likely continue to explore how motivation and anxiety intersect in high-stress kitchens. We see short clips of Carmy looking extra frazzled (no surprise there) and reminding coworkers that, in the restaurant business, “you are never alone.”

“I get it — chaos and turmoil,” Sydney says to Carmy in the trailer. “But it’s a problem when you’re letting it fuel you and fuel the food.”

And, one of the most heartwarming moments features clips of the kitchen crew, Carmy’s family, and other characters embracing as Sydney is heard saying, “sometimes, your work-family is part of your family-family.”

What happens in ‘The Bear’ season 4?

Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger and left viewers waiting for more information about the nature of The Bear’s review in the Chicago Tribune. Beyond Carmy’s anxiety about the newspaper’s feedback, Sydney was also doubting her role in The Bear’s kitchen following Carmy’s intense and often graceless behavior while running the kitchen, and even considering leaving the restaurant for a competitive job offer. Plus, of course, the fate of the restaurant is still up in the air following the mysterious review.

And though there’s not too much info in the teaser, we do know that Sydney is finally going to meet Donna, Carmy’s mom. Hopefully, ‘The Bear’ Season 4 trailer will shed a bit more light on what the new season is serving.

When does ‘The Bear’ season 4 premiere?

While speaking to Omelete at an event for Marvel’s upcoming film, The Bear‘s co-showrunner Joanna Calo incorrectly revealed a release date for the new season. According to Calo, The Bear season 4 was set to air on Sunday, June 15 – but it turns out the new season will be live beginning Wednesday, June 25, according to a first look poster shared by The Bear‘s official Instagram account and confirmed by the trailer.

How do I watch ‘The Bear season 4?

The Bear will drop on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally on Sunday, June 15. If you need to catch up ahead of season four’s release, the first three seasons are currently available for American viewers on Hulu, and Disney+ globally.
