Taco Bell Is Launching Nostalgic Merch Inspired By The Decades Menu

When it comes to fast food, Taco Bell is, well, iconic. Since its founding in 1962, Taco Bell has introduced craveable, Mexican-inspired products, consistently delivering innovative, exciting, and sometimes wild flavors to fans. Throughout their sixty-odd years of business, TBell has created a deep vault of favorite items, occasionally leaving die-hard fans begging to have them back. Luckily, they’re getting a chance with the Taco Bell Decades Menu, as the chain is bringing back iconic menu items from its first 50 years.

The Decade menu, which will be available nationwide beginning October 31, is set to unlock core Taco Bell memories for the OG, and spark nostalgia for a new era of fans. The limited-edition menu helps unite generations of fans who fondly remember these retired menu items, with a new era of fans who have yet to experience the delight of a savory Tostada, taste the legendary Green Sauce Burrito, or take their first bite of a Meximelt. And, since TBell just loves to spoil us, we’re getting a whole new line of nostalgia-inducing Taco Bell merch, too.

What is in the Taco Bell Merch collection?

Taco Bell is helping fans celebrate their favorite decades through limited-edition, retro-inspired hoodies. There are five different hoodies (for the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s, respectively), and TBH, I want them all.

The 1960s-inspired hoodie features the original Taco Bell logo, pre-bell, on a khaki sweatshirt. The brand played with fonts in the ’70s, and the typography is featured on a brown sweatshirt. The Taco Bell was officially introduced in the ’80s, and the neon-orange sweatshirt emblazoned with the logo is the boldest and brightest yet. And the last logo to feature the words “Taco Bell” on the sweatshirt comes from the ’90s logo, which is the TBell I grew up with and could easily identify a little too easily.

Of course, by the 2000s, Taco Bell was so iconic that it didn’t even need a name for its logo – the purple bell on a black hoodie will suffice.

If you aren’t a fan of foodie merch (but really, who doesn’t want to wear their love for Taco Bell on their sleeve?), you can also celebrate the Decades with a line of five stainless-steel cups, each of which features the same logo and design of the sweatshirts.

How do I buy the Taco Bell Decades merch?

Limited-Edition Decades Hoodies and Limited-Edition Stainless-Steel Decades Cups, each with unique designs and logos from the ‘60s through ’00s, will be available on a first come first served basis for Rewards Members in-app during a special throwback Tuesday Drop on October 29 at 2 PM PT. Or, fans can take a piece of their favorite decade home by transforming their medium cup purchases to Limited-Edition Decades plastic cups at their local Taco Bell, while supplies last.

Taco Bell is also introducing a weekly in-app Decades Quiz experience, and Rewards Members who complete the quiz will be entered for a chance to win either a hoodie or a stainless-steel cup. Safe to say that, come Tuesday, I’ll be in my Taco Bell era.
