The Starbucks Summer Menu Includes A New Horchata Shaken Espresso

While I’m still obsessing over Starbucks’ spring menu (and all of the secret menu iterations for the new Iced Cherry Chai and Lavender Cold Foam), it’s no secret that summer is just around the corner. Schools are gearing up for summer break, vacations are being planned, and warm beach days with picnic lunches are getting closer every day. Whether you’re a coffee fan or just looking for an icy beverage, the Starbucks summer menu is coming to cool you down as the temps heat up with new and returning favorites alike.

What new drinks are on the Starbucks summer menu for 2025?

To this day, I still grieve the loss of Starbucks’ Horchata Almond Milk Frappuccino that debuted in 2017 and featured a blend of almond milk, caramel, cinnamon sugar sprinkles, and cinnamon dolce syrup. Thankfully, Starbucks is bringing Horchata back for summer. This year, the Starbucks summer menu features a brand new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. Inspired by the Spanish beverage, this new coffee beverage features a blend of Starbucks’ roasted espresso combined with the sweet, milky, and cinnamon-packed flavors of Horchata.

What drinks are returning to the Starbucks Summer menu?

If you were obsessed with the Summer-Berry refreshers last year, Starbucks has some good news for you. The coffee company is bringing back both the Starbucks Summer Skies Drink and the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher in 2025.

The Summer Skies Drink features raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors for a refreshing beverage packed with summer fruit flavors. Like the Midnight Drink and Pink Drink, the Summer Skies Drink is a refresher mixed with coconut milk for extra creaminess, and it’s topped with popping raspberry-flavored pearls for extra texture and flavor.

If you prefer cold lemonade on a hot summer’s day, the returning Starbucks Summer-Berry Lemonade also features the same berry flavors, but rather than coconut milk, the base is combined with lemonade for a refreshing kick of citrus.

What new food is on the Starbucks summer menu for 2025?

Starbucks is adding some sweetness to summer with a brand new Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop. Like some of the other adorable seasonal cake pops (for example, the Snowman Cake Pop on the Starbucks 2024 holiday menu), this new cake pop is designed to look just like a strawberry on a stick, with little white dots to mimic the look of the seeds. Plus, the strawberries and cream flavor is perfect for summer, and is bound to pair well with any of Starbucks’ beverages.

When is the Starbucks summer menu coming out in 2025?

While Starbucks hasn’t set an exact release date for the upcoming summer menu, we do know the returning drinks, new Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso, and new Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop will be appearing on menus nationwide sometime in May. For now, I’ll be savoring every last sip of the Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Latte before spring turns into summer.
