The Starbucks Pink Cannon Ball Drink Is A Coconut Lover’s Dream

Back in mid-January, Starbucks launched a new colorful refresher, the Cannon Ball Drink. The fruity drink has a sweet-and-sour lemonade base with Strawberry Açaí and Mango Dragonfruit Refreshers and a mixed fruit inclusions. Now, the coffee chain is expanding the Cannon Ball Drink family with something new. Next month, Starbucks will introduce a Pink Cannon Ball Drink, putting a coconut spin on the original.

What is the new Starbucks Pink Cannon Ball Drink?

This week, Starbucks announced that on March 3, customers will be able to sip on the Pink Cannon Ball Drink. Compared to the original Cannon Ball Drink, the new one combines coconut milk with Strawberry Açaí and Mango Dragonfruit Refreshers. It’s still topped with dried strawberry and dragonfruit inclusions and served with ice.

Starting this Monday, customers can also order a new secret menu beverage — the Cold Foam Cannon Ball — which adds vanilla sweet cream cold foam on the top of a grande-sized Cannon Ball Refresher. You can find it in the “Offers” tab of the Starbucks app.

What does Mr. Beast have to do with this?

Starbucks has collaborated with Mr. Beast since the premiere of Beast Games: Strong vs. Smart, the popular YouTuber’s competition game show on Amazon Prime. The show is in its second season and features 200 competitors who are divided into the 100 strongest and 100 smartest players. They battle for a $5 million prize in a 31.5-day contest in Beast City.

The new Cannon Ball Drink was released as a collab with the show and has been available since January 14. This drink is a vibrant and tart lemonade with Strawberry Açaí and Mango Dragonfruit Refreshers. It is served shaken with ice and topped with dried fruit inclusions. How refreshing does that sound?

Starbucks said this beverage was inspired by the set of season two. It was featured in the Beast Games x Survivor crossover episode 204, called “Cannon Ball Challenge” – obviously, this was how the beverage’s name came from.

According to Starbucks global chief brand officer Tressie Lieberman, this collaboration brings two worldwide icons together in a community. “When contestants saw Starbucks on set, they said it felt like home. That’s exactly what we hoped to deliver,” Lieberman said. “We are thrilled that fans can participate too, and they are in for a treat with the Cannon Ball – a barista-created drink that became an instant hit with contestants and even made its way into a challenge.”

Good news for fans, the original Cannon Ball Drink isn’t a limited-time beverage. It will stay on the menu for fans who can’t get enough of it. The pink version, however, might only be available on the spring menu. So make sure to mark your calendars for March 3 to make sure you can try it.
