Starbucks officially announced its menu that is arriving in just a few weeks, bringing back fan favorites while adding some spice to the list, a few unexpected newcomers, including banana bread-inspired beverages and an all-new “Chaider.”
August has just arrived which means somehow fall is just around the corner. Students are getting ready to head back to their campus, football season is almost here, starting in just a few weeks, and stores are swapping swimsuits for sweaters and fall decor. If you are counting down to the cozy season, what better way than to add Starbucks to that countdown, as Starbucks is giving everyone another reason to get excited.
When are they releasing the PSL and the rest of the fall menu?
Mark your calendars! Starbucks is releasing the fall menu on August 25. What is fall without pumpkin? The fan favorite Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) and others are making its annual return, including the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Frappucchino, and Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, with an extended lineup of pumpkin spice inspired drinks this season. Putting a twist on the shaken espressos, there will be a new iced Pumpkin Cream Shaken Espresso which will add some new flavor to it. Alongside that, there is a Pumpkin Spice Chai, and for matcha lovers, a new Iced Pumpkin Cream Matcha.
What is the surprise flavor this season?
Bananas have been a trend recently in the coffee and baking industry. The chain is introducing two new warm banana bread inspired drinks; Iced Banana Bread Latte and Iced Banana Bread Chai. Both drinks are made with combinations of banana, cinnamon, and brown sugar flavors for a cozy drink and with every sip. What is even better is that it will stay on the menu beyond the fall season so customers can enjoy it even more. Will the banana be ordered more than pumpkin inspired drinks? We will have to see.
What is the new “Chaider”?
Starbucks is putting a small twist on chai for the fall. It is a mashup of chai and cider inspired flavors that includes cinnamon and sweet spices and can be ordered hot or iced.
Which pecan drinks are making a comeback?
For those that do not like the pumpkin-flavored drinks, don’t worry. Last year’s pecan drinks are making a return for another season. Beginning on August 25, customers can once again order the Pecan Cortado, Iced Pecan Crunch Latte, and Pecan Crunch Latte. All of these drinks are warm, and include nutty flavors with hints of brown butter and baking spices.
What new food items will be added?
The drinks aren’t the only thing getting a seasonal refresh. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast before class or a snack between lectures, there are a few new options to pair with your coffee. This fall’s food lineup includes Chicken Bacon Protein Pocket, Hedgehog Cake Pop (switched from the owl last year), and the returning favorite, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin.
What’s missing from last year’s menu?
While Starbucks is adding banana bread drinks and introducing its new Chaider, a few fan favorites didn’t make the cut. Most noticeably, the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato is nowhere to be found, meaning apple espresso lovers may have to branch out this year. The Baked Apple Croissant also appears to be missing from the food lineup, while the Owl Cake Pop has been replaced with a new Hedgehog Cake Pop.
Merch?
For the Pumpkin Spice Latte super fans, Starbucks is also releasing a new PSL Society merchandise collection featuring seasonal drinkware and a limited-edition hat. If you’re the type of person who celebrates the first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the year, this collection might be worth checking out. Whether you’re team Pumpkin Spice, team Pecan, or ready to see what all the banana hype is about, Starbucks’ 2026 fall menu officially arrives just in time to kick off cozy season.
Instead of leaning into apple flavors, Starbucks seems to be making pumpkin and pecan the stars of the 2026 fall menu along with banana making its debut as this season’s surprise flavor.
What Starbucks items will the grocery store sell this fall?
Whether it is more convenient to stay home, skip the coffee shop line, or save a few dollars, Starbucks will be selling their fall coffee and creamers all around various locations in grocery stores before the cafe menu officially launches.
