When it comes to expressing yourself through other outlets that aren’t clothes and shoes, it’s usually through accessories you can sport. Think keychains, pins, phone cases, stickers on laptops and water bottles, and jewelry, specifically charm jewelry. Charms will never go out of style for their chicness and their simple, playful, and timeless appeal. Typical charms you spot in the wild pertain to one’s initials, zodiac signs, favorite animals, hierograms, countries, cultural references, hobbies, and maybe a fun food item like an ice cream cone or a sushi roll. Consider them wearable conversation starters– part-fashion; part-storytelling.
But, have you ever thought about a water bottle charm? Well, now you have. Owala, a cult favorite hydration brand, is teaming up with jewelry designer Made by Mary to create a limited-edition accessory moment: a water bottle, a necklace, and a water bottle-shaped charm.
This water bottle charm may represent many things: your commitment to sustainability, your obsession for hydration, or exactly how big of a die hard Owala fan you are. Whatever the case may be, this set personalizes your water bottle without peeling stickers or chipped paint jobs all while elevating your jewelry game. It’s the kind of accessory you didn’t know you needed until now.
What’s the Owala charm set collaboration?
Owala partnered with Utah-based jewelry company Made by Mary to create a custom 24-ounce FreeSip bottle, bottle charm, and necklace. A pink theme, the bottle has a muted pink body with a glossy sparkle finish that imitates a rose gold finish and a mauve cap with a cream handle.
The charm looks identical to the FreeSip water bottle, just in mini charm form. The necklace is a 16-inch to 17.5-inch adjustable gold-filled chain with a gold vermeil and enamel charm; the water bottle charm is made of brass and enamel and comes with a string to attach it to your matching bottle. For all three, this set is currently priced at $100.
Who is Made by Mary?
Made by Mary is a female-owned online jewelry company that sells hand-crafted pieces with the option of hand-stamped pendants, gemstones, charms, pearls, and customization. Founded in May 2013, Mary Moody started this passion project as a creative outlet while she struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of her first child. What started as a small business on Etsy is now a reputable brand that has been featured in popular magazines like Forbes, People, and Elle. This surge in popularity has allowed for unimaginable business opportunities, like an Owala collab.
When and where can I buy the Owala charm set?
The limited-edition trio is set to drop on Tuesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. MST (12 p.m. for east coasters). As of right now, you can sign up on Owala’s website to be notified by email or by SMS when the trio drops. With no word from either brands on social media, it seems that this set will be an online-only product, so make sure you’re ready to click “place order” as quickly as your fingers can.
