The NFL Consumes A Wild Amount Of Uncrustables, Here’s How Many The Teams Eat

The NFL cares about more than just scoring touchdowns, it also cares about its snacks. The food that stands out from the rest is Uncrustables. Along with every other mind-blowing statistic in the NFL, The Athletic recently reported that these A-list athletes “easily go through at least 80,000 Uncrustables a year,” which is very endearing. After all, this was my preferred grade school lunch. Overall, this childhood snack does check out as a good half-time treat as it provides carbs, proteins, fats, and that sweet, sweet taste of nostalgia. Let’s see how the 24 NFL teams surveyed scored on the Uncrustables ranking.

Which NFL teams ate the most Uncrustables?

In the survey conducted by The Athletic, the Denver Broncos easily take first place with a snack on 700 of the kid-friendly snacks a week, and the Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars take second and third with 320 and 315 a week, respectively. If there ever a Superbowl for Uncrustables consumed, the Seahawks could get their first Superbowl win in 10 years, but alas, the saying is “defense wins championships” and not “delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.” Bummer, am I right?

The Top 10 NFL who eat Uncrustables the most in a week include:

  1. Denver Broncos – 700
  2. Seattle Seahawks – 320
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars – 315
  4. Miami Dolphins – 300
  5. Atlanta Falcons – 250
  6. Pittsburgh Steelers – 225
  7. Arizona Cardinals – 200
  8. Minnesota Vikings – 200
  9. Los Angeles Chargers – 200
  10. Baltimore Ravens – 150

Football and Uncrustables have always had an invisible string between them, retired football player Len Kretchman invented the treat. After being a wide receiver at North Dakota State University, Kretchman went on to work in the food service industry along with schools. The love for Uncrustables in the NFL and in lunch bags has been going strong for more than two decades.

Which NFL teams ate the fewest Uncrustables?

Both the Cincinnati Bengals and the New Orleans Saints are in the bottom half with 50 a week, maybe Uncrustables were Bengals quarterback, Joe Burrow’s secret weapon to winning three years in a row against Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, until this year.

What other snacks are NFL players obsessed with?

Uncrustables are as beloved as orange slices for game day eats. In the NFL game operation manual, it is mandatory that each home team has to provide “three dozen sliced oranges for halftime” for the visiting team. It seems no matter if you’re a football winner or loser, there will be snacks for these NFL teams. Maybe if the San Francisco 49ers have both at their disposal they could beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce said on his podcast, New Heights last year that he eats Uncrustables more than “anything else in the world,” maybe he passed his love for the snack to his pop icon girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
