A hamburger might be one of the most versatile meals out there. Need a post-shopping meal at the mall? Grab a seat on a bench and have a burger. Hungry during a road trip? Make a stop at a drive-thru for a burger. Trying to make an impromptu lunch? Throw some leftovers between a bun, and you have a DIY burger.
There’s one setting in particular that burgers seem made for. Nothing says summertime like hamburger patties sizzling on an outdoor grill. But don’t worry if you don’t have access to your own barbeque. On May 28, restaurants are celebrating National Hamburger Day with a variety of burger deals. We’ve listed some of them below.
Shake Shack
The NYC-based chain has been offering burger discounts for the past month, but it’s not too late. From May 26 to June 1, you can get a free ShackBurger with a purchase of $10 or more.
With a quarter-pound beef patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and the iconic ShackSauce on a potato bun, this burger is Shake Shack’s classic option — meaning it might just be the best option.
Wendy’s
Wendy’s National Hamburger Day festivities last four days, not just one. Using a digital offer in the Wendy’s app, you can receive a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for just one cent. The offer runs from May 28 to June 2.
Dairy Queen
What’s better than one burger? That’s right, two burgers. If you buy a Signature Stackburger at DQ anytime from May 26 to June 1, you’ll get a second one for $0.99.
You can choose from five varieties. The Original Cheeseburger is exactly like its name sounds, and the Cheese Deluxe is similar but with more varieties of cheese as well as tomato and lettuce. Go with the Bacon Cheese Deluxe if you feel indulgent, the FlameThrower for a spice kick, and the Backyard Bacon Ranch for a popular flavor combo.
Wayback Burgers
Head to the burger chain for a $5 classic burger on May 28. This burger comes with not one, but two patties, and each person can buy up to two at the discount rate.
Red Robin
Love burgers so much you can eat them every day? Hurry to get Red Robin’s Bottomless Burger Pass. It costs $20 and can be redeemed before May 31. The pass grants you one burger and a bottomless side daily.
Logan’s Roadhouse
A burger is incomplete without a side. Logan’s Roadhouse offers deals on two variations of the Real Deal Meal, which comes with a salad, a side, a beverage, and bottomless rolls. Side options include a loaded baked potato, mac and cheese, and cinnamon apples.
If you’re a burger purist, go with the All American Cheeseburger as your entree — a classic cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles — for $12.99. Or, you might enjoy your food mini-sized. In that case, the Original Roadies, or three small cheeseburgers, cost $11.99.
The Greene Turtle
Order any burger on The Greene Turtle menu on National Hamburger Day, and you’ll get another one free. Fan favorites include the Chesapeake Burger, which includes crab dip and Old Bay along with the classic burger fixin’s, and the Cowboy Burger, a cheeseburger topped with bacon and onion straws.
