Keke Palmer Is Obsessed With Jammy Eggs — Here’s Her Recipe

Recently, actress, singer, and entertainment personality Keke Palmer appeared on Scott Evans’ YouTube series, House Guests with Scott Evans, where she gushed over jammy eggs. Keke expressed how jammy eggs have taken over her whole algorithm these days, and how it’s now become her new recent obsession.

If you aren’t familiar with jammy eggs, think of them as a soft and runny boiled egg that holds liquid at the center, hence the name jammy. The yolk is creamy, making it a perfect addition to toast, rice, salads, and more! A TikTok clip of this interview has blown up, where Keke shares her recipe for this delicious addition to almost any meal.

“Everything I look at is jammy egg, jammy egg. Jammy egg on toast, jammy egg on rice, jammy egg… just jammy egg,” she said in the interview.

If you’re anything like Keke and find yourself hyperfixating on things for weeks, this recipe will be perfect for you. It’s simple enough to make and good enough that you won’t get tired of it anytime soon.

She starts by explaining that you should put the egg in boiling water for 7 minutes, take it out, and place it in an ice bath. She jokes that it’s kind of similar to the ice plunge everyone’s doing all over social media. Keep the egg in the ice bath for 3 minutes, take it out, and place it in a jar. Add some soy sauce or a little bit of tamarind, rice vinegar, chili, ginger, and maybe some garlic. Let the eggs marinate overnight, and then crack them open over some rice.

The great part about jammy eggs is that they make a perfect treat when looking to make a healthy meal. Some ways to change up your jammy eggs recipe include using it as a topping for salads. If you’re looking for a meal to help you reach your protein goal, throw in some mixed greens with the eggs, and you’ve got yourself a tasty yet healthy meal. If you’re on the go and thinking of packing a lunch, it might be a good idea to add jammy eggs into your sandwiches and wraps. A jammy egg with crispy bacon and tomato slices, topped with a sauce of your choosing, can make for a delicious lunch!

Keke Palmer’s recipe for jammy eggs is fun and easy to make, and is a great way to try something new without overcomplicating your usual routine. Jammy eggs are packed with flavor, texture, and the perfect amount of protein. With endless pairing opportunities, it’s definitely worth giving it a try, and I mean, who knows, you might just ditch your scrambled eggs for this new internet obsession.
