JELL-O Just Dropped The Cutest Dorm Room Decor Item

Looking for something to spice up your dorm or apartment? Sure, you can grab some twinkle lights, album posters, and potted plants to make your space feel like home, but I bet this option wasn’t on your 2024 bingo card: JELL-O, the brand we know and love for its sweet gelatin desserts, revealed Tuesday that it’s releasing a new collection of home decor inspired by fan-favorite flavors. And yes, of course, we all need some JELL-O decor.

Welcome to the Jelly Collection

The limited-edition Jelly Collection features inflatable chairs in four bright colors to emulate the brand’s classic and most popular flavors: lemon, lime, strawberry, and orange, according to JELL-O’s press release

While a home decor line from a leading dessert brand may seem out of character, JELL-O noted in its press release that the decision was inspired by current jelly-inspired trends in home decor, beauty, and fashion.

The release added that “inflatable furniture is also experiencing a resurgence, blending the nostalgia of childhood with the comfort and style of today.”

With Gen Z and Millenials in mind, JELL-O built on today’s trends by creating a “plush, inviting seat that offers both comfort and style,” the release said. The chair features smooth, round curves that emulate the classic JELL-O mold, drawing up feelings of nostalgia for anyone who sits in it.

Unsurprisingly, the chairs also feature a built-in JELL-O cup holder. Because who doesn’t need one, right? The cup holder is the exact size to hold a Ready-to-Eat JELL-O Gelatin cup, a quick snack for studying, doing homework, or hanging out with friends. My personal favorite JELL-O snack is anything strawberry-flavored.

History of the Jelly Collection

While in college, friends often become chosen family, especially for those at school away from home. For a dorm room looking particularly monotone, or an apartment living room needing a hint of bright color, the Jelly Collection is there to provide. Tyler Parker, Brand Manager of Desserts at Kraft Heinz, the parent company of JELL-O, emphasized the importance of “joyful family moments” in a statement about the collection.

“With The Jelly Collection, we’re not just celebrating our rich history; we’re bringing it to life for today’s families. By blending our heritage with a modern twist, we’re inviting consumers to embrace the playful spirit that has made JELL-O a beloved favorite for generations,” Parker said.

According to the press release, JELL-O has continued its reign as the No. 1 refrigerated dessert brand, “driven by a dedication to innovation and a commitment to delighting consumers.” In 2023, JELL-O underwent a logo and packaging redesign. As the first rebrand in a decade, “JELL-O aims to transcend generations and continue bringing its fans on a never-ending flavor journey.”

The Jelly Collection is now available exclusively on Amazon for a limited time, with the unique chairs selling for only $30 each. And that is super ideal for my college budget, TBH.
