We’ve all had moments where we know we’ll need coffee. Trust me, I’m speaking from personal experience. I once ordered a 24-ounce iced latte from Dunkin’ late at night because it was the largest size I could find. If there was a larger option, I would’ve gone for that instead.
It looks like my wishes have come true. Dunkin’ has upped its game and quietly debuted 48-ounce drink buckets in select Massachusetts and New Hampshire locations. Despite the lack of an official announcement, customers have caught on.
What is the Dunkin’ 48-ounce drink bucket?
To put it into perspective, 48 ounces is nearly half a gallon. The bucket fits about 25 Munchkins, according to the New York Times. And yes, it’s an actual clear bucket, complete with a handle, lid, and straw. Safe to say, it definitely doesn’t fit in most cup holders.
If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a bucket, you can order one filled with iced coffee, iced lattes, or Dunkin’ Refreshers. According to TikTok user @steph_rose_knows, the bucket costs around $8 to $11, depending on which drink you get.
Although the buckets are pre-filled and not customizable as the standard drink, you can still get select flavors including Blueberry Cobbler Iced Latte, Caramel Coco Iced Coffee, or Strawberry Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher.
Where can I find the Dunkin’ 48-ounce drink bucket?
Remember how I said my wishes have come true? Well, not quite. Right now, the only Dunkin’ bucket sightings have been in a handful of Massachusetts and New Hampshire locations.
Still, the East coast snowstorm hasn’t stopped coffee lovers from making longer treks. TikTok user @elletwb posted that she “drove 40 minutes and went through a toll” for the bucket. Honestly, I’d do the same.
Other users are already calling for Dunkin’ to expand the bucket nationwide. And some people from Massachusetts who don’t have the luxury of living near a Dunkin’ are feeling left out.
Where else can I get coffee buckets?
Luckily, coffee buckets aren’t new, and you might be able to snag one even if you’re not on the East coast. Local cafes have been serving drinks in oversized buckets for a while, ranging from 32 to 50 ounces. Some even went viral in summer 2025.
While it seems like Dunkin’ is making a case for one of the largest drink buckets available, orders from these local spots are much more customizable with a variety of flavors and toppings. So, if you’re in need of lots of coffee in a pinch, see if there are buckets at a spot nearby. You get to support a small business and enjoy half a gallon of caffeine, all at the same time.
