Owala Is Dropping Two New Bottles Just In Time For Spooky Season

Owala is constantly dropping new colors and designs. The iconic water bottle brand recently dropped four bright colors to ring in the summer season, and back in April, the Out of Orbit design came out. Plus, we can’t forget when the floral bottles dropped for spring. It only makes sense that with fall fast approaching, Owala is gearing up for the autumnal festivities — specifically Halloween. Owala is dropping two new festive bottles for the holiday, and they are an absolute need for Halloween fanatics.

What are the new Owala bottles?

The first Owala that’s dropping for this year’s spooky season is called RIP. If the name itself isn’t already pretty spooky, wait until you see the bottle’s design. White cobwebs and skeletons are faintly sprawled all around the pale green bottle, creating just a subtle creepy vibe in the light. But when it’s dark, the bottle glows a bright green, and the creepy cobwebs and skeletons practically jump off of the bottle. If you’re a fan of glow in the dark decor, this is the bottle for you. It basically doubles as a water bottle and a Halloween decoration.

The other Owala design dropping is called Sugar Skull. This bottle is inspired by Dia de los Muertos, a holiday that honors the deceased and is celebrated in Mexico and other parts of Latin America. The bottle dawns a sugar skull, a traditional Dia de los Muertos decoration. One again, Owala can’t just give us one design. In the light, the sugar skull seems to be orange and pink, but when the lights go out, it quickly switches to blue and green — and it glows.

This isn’t the first time Owala has participated in a spooky drop in honor of the Halloween season. Last year, the brand released a bottle that also glows in the dark. The spooky-themed water bottle was called the Boo-Ya, and like the RIP, it featured a design that could really only be seen in the dark. Ghosts flew around the bottle, hence the name.

When are the new Owala bottles available?

The RIP bottle drops on September 30 at 12 p.m. EST, just in time for October. The Sugar Skull bottle drops October 21 at 12 p.m. EST: a few weeks before Dia de los Muertos, which is typically celebrated on November 1 and 2. Owalas are known to sell out very quickly, so mark your calendars. On the Owala website, you can be notified when the bottle drops by clicking the “Notify Button.” That way, you can have first dips on this brand new, spooky drop. Otherwise, you might need to go searching on eBay for a reseller. That would be even spookier than the bottles.
