While Oreos, Chips Ahoy, and of course the classic homemade chocolate chip cookies are delicious in their own right, Girl Scout Cookies are simply on a different level. While I’m partial to my Samoas (or Caramel deLites based on the region) and Tagalongs (aka Peanut Butter Patties), I’m never going to turn down a Thin Mint — especially if it’s been stored in the freezer. While my three favorite flavors are here to stay, Girls Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) just revealed that the S’mores and Toast-Yay! flavors will be disappearing into the vault of discontinued Girl Scout Cookies in 2026. While the news is disappointing for fans of the two flavors, there is good news: Girl Scouts cookie fans only have another year to stock up on these two popular flavors before they’re discontinued.
Which Girl Scout Cookies will be discontinued in 2026?
After a five-year run, Toast-Yay! cookies will be discontinued in 2026. These French toast-flavored Girl Scout Cookies, which were introduced in 2021, are shaped like a slice of bread and dipped in delicious icing.
And, after almost a decade of deliciousness, the Girl Scout S’mores cookies will also be discontinued after this year. Originally introduced in 2017, S’mores Girl Scout Cookies feature graham sandwich cookies with chocolate and marshmallow filling reminiscent of the campfire classic.
Per a Girl Scouts spokesperson, the discontinuation of S’mores and Toast Yay! cookies is the first time GSUSA has announced a flavor’s retirement prior to its final selling season. This switch now gives customers the chance to stock up on their favorite flavors before they are gone for good.
Discontinuation hasn’t stopped Girl Scout cookie lovers in the past, though — boxes of Raspberry Rally cookies were resold on eBay for months after the flavor was discontinued in 2023. While we still have a whole season to stock up on S’mores and Toast-Yay!, there is a chance that a similar resale market will emerge come 2026.
How do I buy Girl Scout Cookies?
GSUSA officially kicks off its 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season on January 7, so cookie lovers can start stockpiling now. Luckily, fans of the S’mores and Toast-Yay! cookies can buy these limited flavors throughout 2025 while supplies last, although availability will vary by location. Both flavors, as well as other Girl Scout cookie classics, will be available to purchase in person at cookie booths or online via local Girl Scouts across the country from January through April, or while supplies last.
Beginning February 21, customers will also be able to purchase cookies to be shipped directly to their homes via the Girl Scout Cookie Finder. This link can also be used to find a local booth to purchase cookies in-person in the surrounding area.
Which Girl Scout Cookie flavors are available in 2025?
In addition to the final run of S’mores and Toast-Yay! this cookie season, many other fan-favorite Girl Scout Cookie flavors are also available in 2025. Rest assured, fans will be able to score Thin Mints, Samoas/Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Trefoils, and Adventurefuls.
Caramel Chocolate Chip, Lemonades, Lemon-Ups, Peanut Butter Sandwich/Do-si-dos, and Toffee-tastic cookies will also be returning this year.
Are Girl Scout Cookies vegan?
Plus, there are plenty of Girl Scout cookie options for those with dietary restrictions. In addition to every flavor being kosher and Halal-certified, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Lemonades, and Toast-Yay! Girl Scout Cookies are all vegan.
Are Girl Scout Cookies Gluten-Free?
Now, you don’t have to miss out on Girl Scout cookies because you’re gluten intolerant or allergic. Both Toffee-tastic and Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies are delicious and gluten-free options.
