Everyone knows ketchup’s best friend is none other than French fries. As a tribute to ketchup’s long-time partner in crime, Sir Kensington’s hosted the Fries of New York exhibition at 168 Bowery from November 7-8. In addition to a French fry display, there were drinks, music and a mustache photo booth for the ultimate Sir Kensington’s experience. We stopped by to have a look at all the possible variations of our beloved potato munch.

From wedges to shoestring cuts, over a hundred types of fries were presented at this event. Enclosed in glass jars, the fries looked fresh out of the fryer. Popular participating restaurants included Potatopia, BaoHaus, ilili, Katz’s Deli, The 21 Club and Balthazar. These big names are sure to get you excited for their take on the fries, but we’ll walk you through our favorites.

Seasoned with spiced coating, Quality Meats thick-cut waffle fry is garnished with chives, shallots and parmesan that give it a pop of color. Root & Bone‘s tater tots are dipped into Brooklyn lager beer batter while Papaya King‘s curly fries also made a grand appearance at the center of the display.

We even had the chance to sample Twist and Smash’d‘s renowned twisted fries with a side of Sir Kensington’s ketchup and classic mayonnaise.

Of course, the event would be incomplete without showcasing Sir Kensington’s holy trinity of condiments. The next time you’re bored with your traditional fries, switch to crinkle cuts or poutine and spice it up with some seasoning for a fresh take on your potato chomp. Anyone up for some truffle fries?
