Burger King Is Giving Out Free Food & Merch All Month Long

Foodie advent calendars seem to be everywhere this holiday season, with brands like Costco and Trader Joe’s leading the pack for craveable countdowns. Now, Burger King is getting in on the trend and releasing a one-of-a-kind, 12-day advent calendar filled with exclusive (although) inedible offerings. Plus, throughout the holiday season, BK will be counting down to the new year with a special 31 Days of Deals event featuring competitive deals (including free Burger King favorites) and festive in-app experiences to ring in 2025.

What is Burger King’s 31 Days of Deals?

To celebrate “the most Whopper-full time of the year,” Burger King is offering a unique deal every day in December, ensuring something for every Royal Perks loyalty member from now until 2025. Some highlights include a single day with double the “crowns” (aka BK’s reward points) for any digital purchase, and another day that features free soda of any size with any purchase of $1 or more. Plus, Royal Perks members can earn 67 bonus crowns on Wednesday, Dec. 4, in honor of the Whopper’s 67th birthday.

Mondays in December mean a $0 delivery fee with an online purchase of at least $5, while Saturdays bring exclusive swag drops for members featuring limited-edition Burger King merchandise. With daily deals and ongoing perks, December is the perfect time to make the most of the Royal Perks program and enjoy all the tasty rewards Burger King offers this holiday season. The only catch? You have to be a BK rewards member.

What is the Burger King Royal Perks program?

As a Royal Perks member, customers earn 10 “crowns” (aka points) for every dollar spent on eligible purchases, which can be redeemed for free items from Burger King’s menu. Members earn double the crowns on all eligible purchases during their birthday month. Joining is straightforward — customers just have to download the Burger King app and click ‘Join Now’ before or during checkout to create an account and earn rewards. From there, you can enjoy exclusive offers throughout the year; a daily upsize on fries, drinks, hash browns, or coffee, and opportunities to earn bonus crowns through the “BK Village” in-app experience. Plus, reward members can open a digital mailbox for redeemable deals and activities each day in December.

Burger King’s Royal Perks point system lets members redeem rewards at various tiers, but some require some significant spending to unlock. For example, with 250 crowns (aka $25 worth of points), customers can unlock BK basics like a cheeseburger, 4-piece chicken nuggets, or value fries. Medium-sized menu items like bacon double cheeseburgers or medium fries are available for 550 crowns ($55 spent).

A couple of tiers up, 1,400 crowns– which is equivalent to spending $140 – means you can cash in on a “free” Double Whopper with Cheese. Does $140 feel a bit excessive? Probably, considering the item’s regular price is $10.79. While the program offers flexibility and rewards frequent visits, the higher-tier rewards might not provide the alleged bang for the buck.

What’s in the Burger King Advent Calendar?

If December Daily Deals aren’t enough, Burger King also introduced its first limited-edition advent calendar on Nov. 22, which retails for $19.54. The calendar offers a unique twist on the traditional holiday countdown by featuring various exclusive, non-food items.

Customers will find 12 days’ worth of festive and fun surprises featuring the Burger King logo and imagery, including a set of playing cards, a snow globe, and a 48-megapixel digital camera.  Each item is designed to add a playful, nostalgic touch to the holiday and also serves as a collector’s item for those who appreciate the chain’s 70-year legacy.  Between the limited-edition advent calendar and free delivery with BK’s 31 Days of Deals, it’s easy to bring Burger King home for the holidays.
