It’s always an exciting yet scary time of year when the Girl Scout cookie lineup is dropped. It’s exciting because old favorites always return (looking at you Samoa) and there’s a possibility of new cookie varieties being added to the troop. But there’s always a touch of fear with the chance that your favorite cookie from last year is ruthlessly cut, never to return again. If you don’t keep up with Girl Scout cookie news, you might have missed the announcement from last year about two cookies getting cut for 2026. No longer will you be able to buy the French toast-flavored Toast-Yay! cookies or the S’mores cookie. However, there is some good news.
What Girl Scout cookies are new in 2026?
There’s a new girl in the troop when it comes to cookies this year. Meet the Exploremore. Catchy name, right? Exploremores are filled with chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond crème flavors. Think Rocky Road ice cream, but in cookie form. They are also a cookie sandwich, so each one has two brown cookies surrounding the brown almond crème. These will run you about $6 a box, depending on your area, and each box comes with 21 cookies.
What Girl Scout cookies are returning in 2026?
Exploremores is the only new cookie for 2026, but there are 10 other returning cookies that you are probably already familiar with. In no particular order, we have the Adventurefuls (brownie-inspired cookies filled with caramel-flavors creme), Caramel Chocolate Chip (a gluten-free classic chocolate chip cookie with caramel and sea salt), Caramel deLites/Samoas (a shortbread style cookie with caramel, coconut, and chocolate), Peanut Butter Sandwich/Do-si-dos (an oatmeal sandwich cookies with peanut butter filling), Lemonades (a shortbread cookie with a lemon-y flavor), Lemon-Ups (crispy lemon-flavored cookies with inspiring messages on them), Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs (crispy cookies covered in peanut butter and chocolate), Thin Mints (chocolate cookies covered in mint chocolate), Toffee-tastic (gluten-free cookies with crunchy toffee bits), and Trefoils (the OG shortbread cookie).
How can I purchase Girl Scout cookies?
It’s probably a bit too early for buying Girl Scout cookies directly from your local troop, however, you can purchase Girl Scout cookies online. They take from four to 15 business days to ship, so keep that in mind! First, head on over to girlscouts.org/en/cookies/how-to-buy-cookies. Then, enter in your zip code. From there, the website will list out the closest Girl Scout troops to your area. But watch out for Girl Scout troops sometime over the next few weeks at local retail spots selling cookies in person.
