The New Emma Chamberlain Erewhon Collab Is A Matcha Dream

You’ve heard of the Hailey Bieber smoothie, the Sabrina Carpenter smoothie, and now Emma Chamberlain is hopping on the Erewhon train. Both Chamberlain and Erewhon posted on Instagram last night about this new limited edition treat, available only from September 10 to October 9. Here’s everything to know about the new Emma Chamberlain Erewhon collab.

What is this sweet treat?

Chamberlain’s Matcha Swirl steps away from the smoothie trend that has been common among other collabs and is a soft serve treat. As described by Erewhon, this offering consists of “Ceremonial-grade organic matcha poured over our creamy Cosmic Bliss organic coconut soft serve.” They even go on to suggest the “Emma Way,” which refers to topping the soft serve with Struesli’s granola and peanut butter. You can snag this treat for $11 or if you try Emma’s way it’s $13. If you were to compare this to some of their other cafe offerings, such as the nearly $20 smoothies, this is a total steal.

What’s the consensus?

Fans of Chamberlain have, of course, made their way to Erewhon’s many locations to get a taste. TikTok user, @Misterpreda, confirms that it’s delicious, stating that it’s “refreshing and healthy.” However, it does take a little bit to taste the matcha since it’s layered on the bottom. He goes on to say that he wishes it was a little bit more unique since it’s a collab, but likes it nonetheless.

Is this Emma’s first collab with Erewhon?

Nope. In summer 2023, she created the “Cold Brew Cookie” smoothie. This smoothie used her espresso blend from her coffee company, Chamberlain Coffee. The company began in 2019 with simple coffee blends and drink accessories. Since then, the brand has expanded to instant coffee, matcha, and pre-made coffee cans, and is now available at retail grocery stores.

Can you make these at home?

Yes! Of course, it won’t be the same but this is great for anyone who doesn’t live near an Erewhon (like me) or wants to save some money.

Cold Brew Cookie

This coconut-heavy drink is made with Chamberlain’s espresso blend from her coffee company, Chamberlain Coffee. Add a shot of espresso into a blender along with two cups of almond milk. Add 1-2 frozen bananas, frozen raspberries, and a heaping spoonful of almond butter. Next, you’ll need ⅓ cup of chocolate protein powder, a spoonful of maca powder, a splash of maple syrup, two dates, and coconut meat. Lastly, you’ll need a few drops or toffee flavored stevia, cacao powder, sea salt and vanilla extract. Blend. Add coconut cream to your glass and pour in the yummy milkshake. Top with a dusting of espresso grounds, cacao nibs, and crushed Simple Mills, sweet thins in chocolate brownie.

Matcha Swirl—Emma’s Way

Line the bottom of the cup with peanut butter (heavy hand for peanut butter lovers like Emma, herself). Add two and a half heaping tablespoons of granola ( Emma uses Struesli’s Granola redefined). Add some of Chamberlain coffee’s matcha (you can spruce it up with the wide selection of flavors that they offer). Next, you’re going to need to add the Cosmic Whip Coconut soft serve*. Add more peanut butter and matcha, then top with granola.

*You can substitute the soft serve for coconut whip or recreate it at home.
