Dairy Queen Is Bringing Back These Holiday Blizzard Flavors For The Winter

It’s November everybody, and you know what that means. Mariah Carey is defrosting and so are Dairy Queen’s fan-favorite holiday Blizzards. Usually, I am the type of person to get in full Christmas mode after Thanksgiving Day, but this year I am going to make an exception for these festive sweet treats. Starting November 25 at participating Dairy Queen locations, the fast food chain will be bringing back two of its most beloved blizzard flavors for the holiday season.

What are the holiday Blizzards and treats from DQ?

If you’re crazy for all things candy cane, make sure to indulge in the returning Peppermint Hot Cocoa Blizzard Treat. If not don’t worry, the DQ Frozen Hot Chocolate is the perfect spin on the staple hot cocoa that will become your go-to delicacy all season long. Now, if you’re still undecided on which blizzard to feast on as you prepare for the holidays, read more to find out about these frosted favorites.

This first blizzard flavor is a beloved delicacy that has made its way back onto Dairy Queen’s menu for another year. Also featured as the December Blizzard of the Month, the Peppermint Hot Cocoa Blizzard Treat is a confectionary combination that highlights the sweet, cool peppermint taste we all know and love as the weather gets colder.

Get ready to dip your spoon into the ideal blend of Dairy Queen’s own soft-serve, crushed candy cane pieces, rich chocolate chunks and decadent cocoa fudge. Don’t forget the fluffy whipped cream and sprinkled candy cane decorated on top that will probably make this treat look too pretty to eat.

Just reading the name of this sweet treat makes me want to start decorating my Christmas tree as cozy holiday movies play in the background. Having a warm cup of hot cocoa in my hands with my favorite mug is essential as I soak in the holiday spirit, but Dairy Queen’s festive touch makes the frozen hot chocolate look even better. You might want to cozy up with a warm blanket as you dive into this chocolate delicacy, but you certainly won’t regret it.

The DQ Frozen Hot Chocolate is a sweet masterpiece that contains a flawless mixture of cocoa fudge, the trademark Misty Slush and iconic vanilla soft serve. But that’s not all. Topped off with a mouthwatering chocolate drizzle and feathery whipped cream, this sweet spin on a classic treat will have you turning into Jack Frost in no time.

Does DQ have anything for Thanksgiving?

If you’re waiting until December 1 strikes to immerse into full festive mode, and you still want to soak in the rest of the Fall vibes, Dairy Queen has some delectable options for you. The Dairy Queen Salted Caramel Truffle Blizzard Treat is the perfect combination of sweet and salty that will make you feel like you’re living in an episode of Gilmore Girls.  An array of salted caramel truffles, gooey caramel, chopped up toffee pieces, and chocolate chunks are swirled with fudge and covered in a blanket of DQ’S iconic soft serve. But get your hands on it fast, because this delicacy is only available for a limited time!

Of course, the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat is a staple for the fall season and can even make its way to your Thanksgiving table. This dessert spin off combines soft-serve ice cream with real pieces of pumpkin pie. Topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg, this frozen dessert treat will hug you like your favorite fall sweater.
