We live in a day and age where there is no shortage in innovation, especially with food. It’s hard to keep track of all the food startups infiltrating our Instagram, Facebook, Buzzfeed and countless other social media outlets. As a result, we are overwhelmed by the amount of foods we wish to try. But how many of these are worth going out of our way for?

Enter: Sabi + Abi‘s Cookie Nut Butter. Abigail Pereira and Sabi Dulai met during their time at NYU Stern. Though describing their personalities as “totally different,” they both share a deep interest in food, cooking and innovation. And with an education in finance but a passion for food, the two quickly realized that they were entrepreneurs at heart. Thus, the Cookie Nut Butter was born.

Cookie Nut Butter is a hybrid of cookie butter and peanut butter. The ingredients are simple and transparent: honey-roasted peanuts, blended gingersnap cookies (which come from Sabi’s homemade recipe), cinnamon, vanilla and white chocolate. The end result: a ridiculously delicious and addicting concoction that can is as versatile as its parents. With its slightly grainy texture but viscous consistency, my personal favorite way to eat it is straight out of the jar to really enjoy the original, unadulterated flavor.

Lucky for New Yorkers, trying Sabi + Abi’s famed CNB is as easy as eating a quick meal before classes, work, or to your next errand. As of last week, CNB is now available as an oatmeal topping at New York cult-favorite café, Oatmeals. Conveniently located steps away from NYU’s campus, Oatmeals NY is the perfect place to get a single dosage of the CNB. Enjoy it plain on a bed of oatmeals or pile on your favorite toppings. We promise you, breakfast (or lunch, or dinner) will never be the same.

Sabi and Abi are currently working on other flavors for their CNB as well as patenting their creation. We sense that we’ll see their creation everywhere because this nut butter trend is definitely here to stay.

FOMO? You can still try Sabi + Abi’s Cookie Nut Butter by ordering on their website. Lucky for you, NYU Spoon has the exclusive details on the promo codes. Use the code ‘COOKIENUTNYC’ for free shipping and ‘CNB10’ for 10% off orders of two or more jars.
