Carvel Just Added Six New Holiday Items To Its Menu

There’s nothing better than a refreshing ice cream cone on a hot summer day. Something about the already-chilly winter makes frozen treats just a little less appealing. But Carvel knows that everyone needs some motivation during the holiday season, so the ice cream chain is gearing up for the festivities with a lineup of six new peppermint treats being added to the Carvel holiday menu.

The drop comes at the same time as its sister company Cinnabon’s seasonal launch, which included the Peppermint Bon, a classic roll topped with crushed peppermint, and the Peppermint Chillata, a minty “frozen treat” topped with whipped cream and candy cane pieces.

And the best part? All items are available now! Peppermint lovers, stop your Christmas shopping and try these new treats as soon as possible. These are only available for a limited time at participating locations.

What flavors are offered at Carvel this winter?

Carvel’s winter menu is centered around their brand new flavor: peppermint hot chocolate. The flavor is available as soft serve or hard ice cream, but the scooped version includes ribbons of crushed peppermint, fudge, and chocolate drops.

Want to keep your hands free for all your shopping bags? Try the Peppermint Hot Chocolate Shake, the Peppermint Hot Chocolate Flying Saucer, or the Peppermint Hot Chocolate Ice Cream Pop. The shake features a base of the soft serve peppermint hot chocolate ice cream blended into a fresh, minty frozen treat. The Flying Saucer also has a base of the festive ice cream served between two chocolate wafers and rolled in crushed peppermint and chocolate chunks. Another spoon-free treat, the Ice Cream Pop is filled with Carvel’s Original Soft Serve, dipped in chocolate bonnet, and finished with sprinkles of crushed peppermint.

Want to go big this holiday season? The Peppermint Hot Chocolate Sundae Dasher is nothing short of decadent. The base of peppermint hot chocolate soft serve is layered with fudge and topped with whipped cream, peppermint pieces, and chocolate chips.

What other winter flavors does Carvel have?

If peppermint isn’t your vibe, never fear! There are plenty of other staple Carvel flavors that are worth trying. For chocolate lovers, one of the chocolate hazelnut variations may be for you. Staying on the Christmas theme, channel Santa’s cookies with a scoop of oreo or cookie dough ice cream. Or if you have a more sophisticated palette, sample some of the butter pecan ice cream for a subtly sweet yet cozy flavor. For more options, the full list of flavors is available on the Carvel website.

Will Carvel have more new flavors in 2025?

You can find out about all of Carvel’s new ice cream creations by joining the Fudgie Fanatics program on the chain’s website. On top of flavor launches, you’ll also receive messages about Carvel promotional offers, because everyone deserves a discounted sweet treat.

Whether you’re treating yourself to a few scoops or buying a gift card for a loved one, Carvel’s is the place for festive flavors this season.
