Nowadays, it seems like there’s one major quality that every It girl has: a signature Erewhon drink. From Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n Sweet smoothie to Sofia Richie’s $22 concoction, you haven’t truly made it as a Gen Z trendsetter until your name is up in lights on the Los Angeles grocery store’s outrageously high-end menu. And now, it’s BLACKPINK singer Lisa’s turn. The K-pop star-turned-actress is kicking off the new year with her very own smoothie collab, and here’s everything we know about the new Lisa Erewhon drink.
What’s in the Lisa Erewhon drink?
Along with being popular among celebrities, Erewhon is also famous for its outrageously priced healthy foods and organic ingredients. The BLACKPINK singer’s new bev is called Lisa’s Thai Up The World Iced Tea, and it’s a spin on a classic Thai iced tea. Lisa’s Erewhon drink is made with just five tasty (but pricey AF) ingredients, including Clover Sonoma organic heavy cream, Just Ice Tea’s unsweetened black tea, organic maple, vanilla, and supplement brand Armra’s Colostrum.
In case you are unfamiliar with that last ingredient, Colostrum is a nutrient-packed form of milk that is produced by cows after giving birth, and it said to aid overall immune, gut, and skin health, among other benefits. The supplement retails for $130 at Erewhon, and has over 400 bioactive nutrients to support immune health, according to the product description.
“Lisa challenged us to reimagine the classic Thai Iced Tea, so we crafted one with ingredients you can trust,” Erewhon’s caption read alongside an Instagram video of Lisa preparing her tea. “The black tea creates a bold base that is complimented by a creamy texture of grass-fed colostrum and organic, pasture-raised dairy from Northern California.”
The two-toned beverage is a modest $11 USD (which is a whole $8 cheaper than Hailey Bieber’s Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, btw), making it the most affordable smoothie on Erewhon’s menu. Plus, proceeds from Lisa’s Thai Up The World Iced Tea will support the Best Friend Animal Society, a sanctuary that finds homes for abandoned pets and is working to end animal euthanization.
Is Lisa’s Erewhon drink good?
Early social media reviews of Lisa’s new Erewhon drink are mixed. Though she didn’t explicitly voice any dislike, TikTok user @foodieonfleek said that “It doesn’t look like regular Thai tea though…it’s more watery than a regular Thai tea.”
“For Lisa and animal charity, I will spend $11 for this drink,” she noted in the comments.
Similarly, user @ChrisEarth said “My face will tell you everything you know” in a TikTok review, and wrote to “try the cheese foam with the tea” in the video’s closed captions.
On the other hand, user @chihirodoll recommended the drink, saying that “The new Lisa Erewhon thai tea is sooo so good” and it “reminds me of my favorite boba.”
“It tastes like quality tea,” notes TikTok user @oncloudj9 in a review. It’s “Very creamy/milky with floral and maple syrup notes.”
How can I make the Lisa Erewhon drink at home?
Sure, but it might cost you a pretty penny. Lisa’s drink is made with just five ingredients — organic heavy cream, black tea, organic maple, vanilla and supplement brand Armra’s Colostrum — many of which are available at your local grocer, but would cost a whopping $185 in total from Erewhon.
How can I try the Lisa Erewhon drink?
The Thai Up The World Iced Tea will only be available at Erewhon through February 7, just in time for the season premiere of White Lotus – which stars Lisa as an employee for a Thailand resort — on February 16 on HBO.
