Some watch the Super Bowl for football, some watch for the halftime show, and the majority arguably watch for the world-renowned commercials. From the legendary death of Mr. Peanut (and subsequent revival in Baby Nut form) to the birth of catch phrases such as “Where’s the beef?” and infamous characters like Mountain Dew’s “puppy monkey baby” of 2016, it’s safe to say that Super Bowl commercials have a serious chokehold on the American public and pop culture. After such a one-sided (and somewhat unexciting) Super Bowl, many fans were simply tuned in for the ads once the Eagles were up by five scoring plays. Here’s a ranking of the Super Bowl food commercials of 2025 that made watching that runaway win worth it.
1. Matthew McConaughey, Martha Stewart, Charli XCX, & Greta Gerwig For Uber Eats
It’s a Brat Girl Super Bowl. Uber Eats’ ad starring Matthew McConaughey was chock-full of food puns as the actor pitched a movie to “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig about football and food conspiracies. “Apple” singer Charli XCX and celebrity chef Martha Stewart also made appearances, as did Hall of Fame coach Mike Ditka (in the form of McConaughey’s impression).
2. Post Malone & Shane Gillis For Bud Light
The official beer sponsor of the NFL’s ad teaser for the brand’s Super Bowl commercial features two iconic Bud Light partners: Post Malone and Shane Gillis. The Grammy-nominated artist and stand-up comedian are recruited to revive a boring neighborhood block party, and are successful thanks to a mower that smokes meat, a meat smoker that cuts grass, and a custom Bud Light cooler that holds “as many [Bud Lights] as it takes.”
3. A New Horse For Budweiser
Would it be a Super Bowl without a Budweiser commercial featuring a horse? This year’s Budweiser stars a new Clydesdale foal, the brand’s smallest Super Bowl star in over a decade, left behind as its animal peers gear up to make a Budweiser delivery from the brewery. If cute animals tug at your heartstrings, this ad might just convince you to buy beer.
4. Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal, & Sydney Sweeney For Hellman’s
Set inside New York City’s Katz’s Deli (aka the same location where Meg Ryan’s character in “When Harry Met Sally” prompted another customer to famously say, “I’ll have what she’s having”) the Hellman’s ad recreated one of the rom-com’s most famous scenes. Seated at the exact same table featured in that infamous 1989 meal, Ryan is overcome with….excitement when she takes a bite of a sandwich made with Hellmann’s mayonnaise.
5. David Beckham & Matt Damon For Stella Artois
The secret is out, and the search for David Beckham’s long-lost twin brother is on. In Stella Artois’ first Super Bowl commercial in six years, the soccer superstar Beckham reunites with his brother over a pint of beer. Oh, and “Other David” might Matt Damon.
6. Willem Dafoe & Catherine O’Hara For Michelob ULTRA
Actress Catherine O’Hara and actor Willem Dafoe toast with Michelob Ultra after hitting the pickleball courts in this fast-paced, minute-long commercial. The ad also featured Olympic gold medalist Ryan Crouser, WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu, and NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss, plus professional pickleballers.
7. Adam Brody, Nick Offerman, & James Harden For Pringles
The celeb-stacked (and uber-‘stached) Pringles Super Bowl commercial stars actor Adam Brody at a house party where they, unfortunately are out of Pringles, so he (obviously) blows into the empty can like a conch shell to summon help. Upon hearing the call of distress, the famous mustaches of actor Nick Offerman, NBA player James Harden, and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid detach from each man’s face before flying to to a local grocery store to stock up on more Pringles, before flying the chips back to Brody.
8. Eugene Levy for Little Caesars
What’s with all the flying facial hair? Actor Eugene Levy’s eyebrows flew off his face and into the world once he experienced the tastiness of Little Caesars Crazy Puffs, with quick pit stops on a baby’s face, his daughter (actress Sarah Levy)’s hands, and even to visit awe-stricken caterpillars chanting “we’re not worthy.” The brows returned at the end of the ad, and quickly fluttered away again when Levy learned “there are bacon ones?”
9. Sloths for Coors Light
After teasing the ad with a limited “Case of the Mondays” rebrand, Coors Light’s slot for the Big Game ad features football fans who are forced to face the dreaded Monday after the national championship—except in this version, each fan is a sloth. Chaos ensues as the sluggish sloths struggle through everyday tasks, but everything changes when someone grabs a pack of Mondays Light, swapping their sloth-like pace for the crisp chill of mountain-cold refreshment.
10. Shaboozey for NERDS
Someone pour me out another…handful of Nerds. In the candy brand’s 2025 Super Bowl slot, country singer and Grammy nominee Shaboozey enjoys a bag of NERDS Gummy Clusters candy while paying homage to New Orleans, this year’s host city. Singing “What a Wonderful World,” (a famous song by NOLA native Louis Armstrong), Shaboozey takes a bite into the crunchy, gummy goodness of NERDS Gummy Cluster candy and is met with colors, sounds, and next-level transformation – as a fantastical rainbow parade begins and NERDS characters dance along to the beat.
11. Doja Cat & Lebron James For Taco Bell
Over 3,000 Taco Bell fans showed up at Live Más Drive-Thru Cams across America to show off their TBell love for the chance to win VIP treatment for the final Big Game commercial, and one of those fans is none other than Doja Cat. In the Taco Bell ad slot, the rapper (who brought back the iconic Mexican Pizza), tries to join the Big Game fun by photobombing fans in the drive-thru line, but the commercial was really about them.
12. Puppy Monkey Baby, Kool Aid Pitcher, Heinz Wiener Dog, Pillsbury Doughboy, & More For Instacart
Instacart enlisted iconic food characters for its first-ever Super Bowl ad to remind fans that Instacart can deliver all game-day necessities, while also teasing the madness that can go down when the Old Spice Guy, a Heinz wiener dog, and the Pillsbury Doughboy walk into a trailer.
