The New Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Flavor Tastes Like A Charcuterie Board

Baskin-Robbins has announced the release of its newest ice cream flavor of the month, which will bring together ice cream lovers and charcuterie board enthusiasts. The flavor “Brie My Guest” will be released in stores Friday, November 1, 2024.

The new flavor is not the only thing coming to Baskin-Robbins. In an October 30 press release, the ice cream company also revealed that the fan-favorite Turkey Cake will be making its grand return just in time for the Thanksgiving season.

What exactly does “Brie My Guest” taste like?

Described in the press release as a “bold twist on the best parts of a cheeseboard that will delight your guests and spark conversation at the table,” the brand new “Brie My Guest” flavor is said to have sweet and savory notes, all with a hint of crunch to it.

The ice cream flavor is a combination of Brie and burrata cheese to craft for a savory taste. Brie is a soft French cheese that comes from cow’s milk and burrata is an Italian cow’s milk cheese made from cream and mozzarella. Both kinds of cheese are my personal charcuterie board staples and favorites.

To balance out the savory, there is a swirl of sweetness in the form of an apricot, which was described in the press release as a way to “give a pop of tangy sweetness,” to the overall savory flavor of the ice cream.

Finally, to add to the sweet and savory combination of ice cream, the cheeseboard-inspired dessert will also feature mix-ins of pistachios and almonds to give the treat a little bit of a crunch as well.

The “Brie My Guest” flavor is not the first Thanksgiving-inspired flavor by the popular ice cream chain. Last year, in November of 2023, the chain released the flavor with the name “Turkey Day Fixin’s,” which was an autumn spice and sweet potato flavored ice cream that also featured classic Thanksgiving sides in the spice and sweet potato ice cream, including honey cornbread chunks and a cranberry flavored swirl.

The returning Turkey Cake, which was first released by the ice cream chain back in 1976 is a limited edition ice cream cake shaped like a turkey that has two sugar cone legs and is covered in a caramel praline glaze. The ice cream cake can be packed with the ice cream of the customer’s choice. In addition to the return, the Turkey Cake will be available for pre-order on the Baskin-Robbins app from November 1-15 and customers who do so will receive $5 off their purchase. The $5 is redeemable in-app, online or in-shop.

The “Brie My Guest” flavor and the Turkey cake will both be available starting November 1, 2024.
