Aldi’s Crofton Cast Iron Dutch Oven Is A Dupe For Le Creuset

There are many uses for a Dutch oven, from slow-cooking to baking to braising, a kitchen isn’t complete without a Dutch oven, especially in the fall when you want to make soups and pot roasts. Unfortunately, Dutch ovens are often expensive, ranging from $50 to $140. But, at Aldi, you don’t have to worry about these prices. A Dutch oven will only cost you $30.

Is Aldi’s Crofton Cast Iron Dutch Oven worth it?

This week, Aldi’s Crofton Cast Iron Dutch Oven is back in stock after high demand. Le Creuset’s Dutch ovens are iconic, famous, and held in high regard, but Aldi’s looks very similar at only a fraction of the price. Aldi’s Dutch Oven has a porcelain protective coating on the interior and exterior. It’s about 10 inches in size and is safe in the oven up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit. It comes in green and white.

But more importantly, the customers love it! According to one customer on a Reddit thread, the Dutch ovens “are still going strong, and I’m on year three and four.” Another customer on the same thread says, “I have an oval one from several years ago, and it’s great! No chipping and works similar to my beloved and very expensive Le Creuset.” Another says, “I got the white one last year, and it’s held up amazingly! I use it about once a month during the cold seasons for braising and soups.”

One of the reasons customers enjoy Aldi’s Crofton Cast Iron Dutch Oven is because it is multi purposeful. Customers roast lamb chops, make mac and cheese, stir chili, and some even make sourdough bread in it. The best dishes to make during the fall season in a dutch oven include braised chicken thighs, french country pot roast, cider braised pork, chicken noodle soup, lentil vegetable stew, and beef and butternut squash.

What else is in stock?

Dutch ovens aren’t the only kitchenware Aldi sells. They sell utensils, saucepans, frying pans, toasters, and just about any kitchenware you can imagine. All their products sell for relatively cheap prices. Although some customers report wear and tear after years of use, they also say the product is definitely worth the money. Aldi has also launched fall-specific kitchen products. This week, you can buy pumpkin casserole dishes, harvest serving platters, glass pie dishes, and more.

Aldi is offering deals on a couple of kitchen items this week. One deal is an Ambiano Electric Food chopper for $14.99. They are also selling an Ambiano mini donut or bubble waffle maker for $12.99. Kitchenware aren’t the only items Aldi has deals on as well. This week, Aldi has deals on clothing, frozen food, detergent, and home decor with the most expensive item listed at $15.
