A Fan Gifted Zendaya A Giant Croissant On The Red Carpet

France is known for many things: beautiful art, iconic architecture, romantic streets, and a gorgeous language, to name a few. But the most pervasive part of the French culture has to be the delicious pastries. King among the macarons, pain au chocolats, and mille feuilles is the croissant. This flakey and buttery treat is beloved in all forms. Most are familiar with the classic rendition, but the giant croissant Zendaya was seen with recently was certainly a new sight to behold.

Over the past few weeks, Zendaya has been on a media tour to promote her new movie Challengers. She plays a tennis player-turned-coach who finds herself in a love triangle. She’s appeared in jaw dropping and often tennis-themed looks during her Australian and French legs of the press tour, answering questions about the movie and chatting with fans. During the Paris premiere, Zendaya showed out in a white custom gown from Louis Vuitton and a dazzling Bulgari diamond necklace. But that night, Zendaya’s outfit was battling for the showstopper of the evening when she was presented with a giant croissant by a fan. Videos all over social media showed Zendaya walking down the Challengers red carpet along with her costars when a fan stopped her to present her with what she called the best croissant in town.

And we are not kidding about the size. Imagine a flaky pastry the size of a giant tote bag. In fact, if you split it open, you could most definitely use it as a handbag to store your phone, keys, and wallet. Zendaya, clearly shocked by its comical size, asked “Is it real?” and the fan quickly reassured her it was. She held up the croissant and stunningly posed for the photographers.

Unfortunately, we were unable to track down where the croissant is from (because all I want to do is order one for myself). But until we do, I’ll be googling ‘how to make giant croissant.’
