Regardless of what team you’re on, you may have found yourself wondering just how many calories and how much fun is packed into each and every mini candy. Below is a list of these fun-sized candies, ranked by calories, and a caloric equivalent of each sweet mini.

Keep in mind that calories are not bad. Calories are energy. Energy is good. Energy is fun. That means, that if a mini candy bar is high in calories, it is high in energy, and therefore means more fun. So, enjoy!

1 Pack of Smarties = 8 Blueberries

These may not actually make you any smarter, but each tiny roll of Smarties contains 10 calories to fuel your brain. That’s roughly the caloric equivalent of eight blueberries.

1 Tootsie Roll = 2 Cups Arugula

Tootsie Rolls: You either love ’em, or you hate ’em. But no matter which way you feel, each mini roll has 11 calories. That’s roughly equal to the caloric equivalent of 2 cups of arugula.

1 Charleston Chew = 1 Cup Raw Cabbage

These old school candies are a taste of nostalgia and an excellent jaw workout. Each chew contains about 30 calories, roughly the caloric equivalent of 1 cup of raw cabbage.

Hungry? Grab one of these tiny Snicker squares for 43 calories. That’s roughly the caloric equivalent of 1/2 cup of blueberries.

1 Mini Box Mike & Ikes = 1 Cup Strawberries

Mike & Ikes are basically chewy beans of sugar, and artificial color. A small box provides about 50 calories, and that equals roughly the caloric equivalent of 1 cup of strawberries.

3 Musketeers Mini = 1 Large Orange

Eating 3 Muskeeters is like eating fluffy cocoa clouds, each mini 3 Musketeer contains about 60 calories, equivalent to the number of calories in approximately one large orange.

1 Mini Box of Dots = 1.5 Cups Watermelon

A mini box of dots contains roughly five gummy fruit pieces, and packs about 63 calories, approximately the same amount of calories in 1 1/2 cups of watermelon.

1 Kit Kat Mini = 3/4 Cup Plain Cheerios

Give me a break! Each fun-sized Kit Kat contains about 70 calories. That’s about the caloric equivalent of 3/4 cup plain Cheerios.

1 Mini Peanut M&Ms = 90 Calories

These are a fun-sized favorite. The crunchy peanuts give these candies a satisfying bite and a bit of substance that actually keeps you full for more than five minutes. They’re about equal in calories to 3 cups of plain popped popcorn.

These peanut butter pretzel nuggets are delicious, and contain about 100 calories each. That’s roughly the caloric equivalent of 1 small-medium banana.

1 Snicker’s Peanut Butter Mini = 1 Piece Sprouted Bread and 2 Teaspoons

Chewy, peanut buttery, chocolaty crunchy goodness. This satisfying bite has 130 calories and 12 grams of sugar, the same amount of calories in a piece of sprouted bread with 2 teaspoons of peanut butter.

Candy is supposed to be fun, and these fun-sized bars offer a variety of tiny ways to treat yourself. While comparing calories can be interesting, always keep in mind that there’s much more to health than calories and counting. Now, go ahead and relish in the treats of Halloween.
