Netflix's hit series Queer Eye is nothing short of funny, inspiring, life changing, entertaining, and CRAZY. Five gay guys makeover and transform men's lives by making simple changes to their hair, personal hygiene, homes, food, relationships...ultimately giving them a better quality of life and confidence to be themselves and live their best lives. What makes the show so great is the guys behind it- Antoni, Bobby, Jonathan, Karamo, and Tan, who each have specialties and are unapologetically themselves. Watch 5 minutes of the show and you will quickly find out that these guys love to have a good time and love some good food, drink, & company. I decided to do some research on the guys' favorite meals in honor of Queer Eye's recent season two release which just keeps šš»Ā getting šš»Ā betterĀ šš».
Brunch: Bobby
Take one look at Bobby's Instagram page (@bobbyberk), and you will notice his amazing brunch spread pictures ^^ like this one. I mean, who doesn't love a good brunch, especially at an adorable cafe?! Plus, as an incredible interior designer, Bobby definitely knows all the good places with the best aesthetics and probably the comfiest chairs too.
Dinner: Karamo
Life coach by day and culture expert by night, Karamo certainly values forming good relationships and building self confidence. On the show, he stresses the importance of family and being yourself. What better place to talk, connect, and build relationships with people you love than around the dinner table! With his vibrant and strong personality, if Karamo is there, nobody will be asking to be excused.Ā
Breakfast: Tan
Born and raised in England, a country known for delish breakfasts, like tea and pastries, Tan has certainly had his fair share of great British breakfasts- and he has probably enjoyed them in style. As the fashion expert, Tan is always looking cute and put together and he isn't afraid of a bold or colorful print. After having the most important meal of the day he's always gotta be looking and feeling good!
Cocktail hour: Antoni
Let's be real, cocktail hours are amped up pregames for adults. As the food and wine guy on Queer Eye, Antoni has proven that he's a pro at making quick and easy appetizers and drinks. Whether it's fresh guacamole made with avocados, a nice homemade pitcher of summer sangria, or a colorful cheese board, Antoni is sure to serve his friends the best foods with quality ingredients...and we all know that's not the only thing he's serving eitherāI mean look at that face.
Late night drinks: Jonathan
Probably seen walking into a club with a fierce hair flip, Jonathan is the definition of a queen. As someone who encourages others to 'break down the walls of masculinity', his unique personality is full of vibrance, fun, and happiness. He loves himself and others, always building people up through compliments and good vibes. Even though a nightcap technically might not be a meal, I'm counting it. Give Jonathan a couple rounds and yasssss hunny!!
