Here’s Where You Can Find Trader Joe’s Mini Tote Bag Dupes

Trader Joe’s pastel mini tote bags are all the rage right now, and with Easter around the corner, it’s not hard to see why. But don’t worry if you couldn’t snag one before they sold out, or you don’t live close enough to a Hobby Lobby to find a dupe. Many stores have hopped on the small canvas tote trend, so you still have the chance to rock one this spring.

Here are some places where you can score a Trader Joe’s mini tote bag dupe. Best of all, you can skip the crowds and shop these options online.

Boat and Tote, L.L. Bean, $35

The handmade Boat and Tote comes in a dozen colors. Vintage rose, mauve, and slate tones match TJ’s pastel pink, purple, and baby blue almost exactly. If you’re feeling bolder or just miss TJ’s classic mini tote bags, go with the L.L. Bean version in red, dark green, or regatta blue. Top it off with a customized monogram for a personal touch.

And while mini sizes make something all the more adorable, some situations call for a bit more practicality. You can get this bag in small, medium, large, or even extra-large for days when you have too much to carry. Plus, it’s durable. It’s been around since 1944 and has been tested to “carry more than you can carry,” according to L.L. Bean’s website.

DALIX Mini Cotton Canvas Gift Tote, Walmart, $15

Trader Joe’s $3 price for its tote bags is hard to beat, but Walmart comes close. The DALIX Mini Cotton Canvas Gift Tote costs $15 and comes in pastel pink and mint green, as well as blue, red, and purple. Monochrome fans can even get it in black or gray. Like the TJ’s tote, this one has a side pocket perfect for your phone.

Lands’ End Open Top Canvas Tote Bag, Target, $30

Lands’ End canvas tote comes in several shapes and sizes. If you want to get as close to the TJ’s version as possible, you can go with the Small Natural 3 Pocket Open Top Canvas Tote Bag. It only comes in neutral colors, though, so for more variety, go bigger with the medium size available online. But make sure to hurry — many pastel colors have already sold out.

At Target, you can even find a small blue Lands’ End tote with a zipper. To me, a tote with a zipper is like a dress with pockets, and this one comes in a navy blue tone perfect for upcoming beach days. A small one comes in at under $30.

Medium Heavyweight Canvas Tote, Baggu, $58

Given the Trader Joe’s bag craze, it’s no surprise that many of Baggu’s heavyweight canvas totes are unavailable. But there are still a few out there. One option on the website is the Medium Heavyweight Canvas Tote in a special color: Snoopy. That’s right. This cream-colored tote puts the beloved cartoon dog, who dons a red puffer jacket, a beanie, and shades, front and center. Who better to hop on a trend than Joe Cool?

Logo Brands Tote Bag, Nordstrom, $40

This one’s for the football and baseball fans out there. Nordstrom’s Logo Brands totes sport logos for a variety of NFL and MLB teams. All of them cost under $40. Bring one to a ball game this summer or stock up for football season in the fall — it’s never too early. If you’re from Boston or Chicago, or if you just love socks, act quick. The website currently warns the Red Sox and White Sox versions are selling fast.
