This year’s Oscars are coming up on Sunday, February 28th, 2016, which gives you approximately two weeks to to get caught up on all of the Best Picture nominees. To make things easier, we’ve compiled a list of the best snacks to help get you through your binge watching, and the big night itself.

The Big Short: Caviar

The Big Short’s all about money, and you’ll need a lot of it to afford this snack. Just make sure to grab a glass of water—caviar is even saltier than the banks after their fraud was discovered.

Bridge of Spies: Kale

Just like no one knew what kale was before Beyoncé blessed us with her 7/11 video, Bridge of Spies didn’t garner a lot of buzz until it was announced as a nominee a few weeks ago.

Brooklyn: Beer

Whether you’re from the United States or Ireland, there’s one thing we all have in common: beer. Some people may argue that it doesn’t count as food—beer is supposed to accompany your meal, not make it up—but if you ask an Irish person any time (or an American on St. Patrick’s Day), I’m sure they’d beg to differ.

Mad Max: Fury Road: Lychee

Both Mad Max: Fury Road and lychee fruit look different on the outside than they actually are. The pleasant surprise of positive female representation in this film could only be made better by the sweet, refreshing taste of lychee fruit.

The Martian: French Fries

Watching Matt Damon grow potatoes in space when his food supply was running out is a familiar situation to every college student who realizes they have nothing to eat and heads over to McDonald’s instead. From Mars to midterm week, potatoes have always got our backs (and stomachs).

The Revenant: Teddy Grahams

Anyone who’s seen The Revenant is probably still haunted by the bear that almost caused the protagonist to meet his untimely end. These teddy grahams can help get rid of your new-found fear of bears with their cute faces and sweet taste. Plus, their golden hue is a nice consolation prize for when our boy Leo is robbed of his golden statue yet again.

Room: Chocolate Coffee Beans

As tempting as it was to say “brie,” Room is perfectly represented by a chocolate-covered coffee bean. Just like caffeine will have you bouncing off the walls, this movie will have you running to all of your friends asking if they’ve seen it yet (and offering to go see it again if they haven’t).

The hint of chocolate is for the touch of sweetness that this poignant film gets from the adorable Jacob Tremblay starring in one of the lead roles.

Spotlight: Brussels Sprouts

Just like Spotlight, Brussels sprouts can be highly unpleasant to consume, but they’re nevertheless important to help you grow.
