The Grub Fest is one of Delhi’s premiere food festivals. And it definitely lived up to its image at the 2015 edition, which was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from 3rd April 2015 – 5th April 2015.

The best part I liked about the fest was that it had something for everyone. Being a college student with a fixed budget, I was initially apprehensive about the rates at which the food there might be priced.

But when I started exploring the stalls, I could only feel bad for all those friends who missed out on the chance to attend the fest because of similar apprehensions. There were many stalls where the food was economically priced, and the Spoon Udelhi team had an amazing time covering the fest.

Here are some things you missed if you did not drop by at The Grub Fest this year.

The Cool Decorations And Delicacies

Some Really Awesome Stalls

1. Food Stories

This was the coolest drink stall in the stadium grounds. Food Stories had definitely done up their stall in the most creative way possible. Picture #5 from the last section was clicked at their stall too. We absolutely loved it.

2. Uncle Tom’s Steamed Hot Dogs

Uncle Tom’s Steamed Hot Dogs had a stall with catchy colours, economic prices and amazing hot dogs.

3. What The Truck?!

What The Truck? first made its debut at the Buddh International Circuit. This truck has a lot of fun facts related to it too. It wastes no energy, as the energy is generated by the solar panel, and everything else about this truck is also eco-friendly. It’s surely a very interesting concept and we look forward to seeing more of it in future.

4. House of Candy

One look at this colourful candy store brought out the kids in us, and we couldn’t help but indulge.

5. Dao

Representing the brand was none other than their masterchef Kanchit Vong Vi Chai. When I asked him what Dao means, he told me that it means ‘star’. This food stall was definitely as bright and beautiful as a star.

6. Wetzel’s Pretzels

Who can say no to Wetzel’s Pretzels? We know we can’t.

7. Asian Haus

The Asian Haus food stall was smokin’ hot–literally! Their satay was a treat to the eyes and the taste buds alike.

Cookery Workshops

We had the opportunity to attend Chef Rohan’s workshop where he taught the audience how to cook sweet chilli potato and pesto grilled chicken and chorizo risotto, and summer green apple, walnuts and feta salad.

And This Is Why You Cannot Even Blame The Hot Weather For Not Coming
